The forced teaming is becoming increasingly ridiculous and offensive.

Well the lgb community seem to want to break away from the tq.. So the tq will tag onto the ND instead 🤔

ScrollingLeaves · 27/06/2023 23:37

There was a thread on here last year about Mermaids giving courses to an association for ND parents and their children basically telling them that autistic children are trans. So this is not a surprise.

I wish I could remember key words enough to find it on the ‘search’. (The association’s name may have had ‘Sun’ in it.)

The T will tag along with anyone that wants them as long as they get to dictate terms.

LBG without the T seems to be growing in momentum due to antics of the TRA. Men fetishes, I mean who really wants them.

This was last year:
It was the Sunshine Support Group for children with SEN.

ASIAM Ireland held a webinar exploring the links between autism & trans. Why are all the neurodiversity groups in Ireland promoting transgenderism???

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 00:16

The comments underneath that ASIAM tweet say what needs to be said. Wtf.

So they want neurodiverse people to be sterilised before they've even had a chance to come to term with themselves and where they fit into adult life?

My ASD is saying FUCK OFF.

My ADHD is saying FUCK OFF YOU PERVY CUNTS AND LEAVE CHILDREN ALONE.

I see ADHD has its occasional uses then!Grin

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 00:29

@NeverDropYourMooncup can you repost under that ASIAM post I just shared😁(only joking of course but the comments are of ilk😁). But kudos it was the best comment I've seen on mumsnet all week!

So does this mean that as an ND person, if I don't push trans rights, I will no longer be ND? Because if there's no ND without the T, and I choose not to be a trans ally, then I lose my neurodiversity, making my life a whole lot easier? All it takes is not supporting transwomen's rights to be able to leave the house and interract with people and maybe have friends and a job and not need sunglasses even when it's dusk and be able to decode speech properly and understand facial expressions and simple instructions and not find normal road noise terrifying and not be exhausted by a phone call and then I will lose the soul crushing depression that is definitely going to kill me?

Where do I sign up?

I came to post that but you have done so so eloquently that all I can do is quote Blazing Saddles by saying "ditto".

VitoCorleoneOfMNMafia · 28/06/2023 00:42

And their "our story" bit, which is all about how delighted they all were to discover they are autistic Hmm and how wonderful being autistic is,

OMG no it's not wonderful being autistic. The entirety of planet earth at best treats me like a weirdo because I'm autistic, and did so long before I was diagnosed. Diagnosis has meant a sense of relief, but not delight.

These fuckwits can fuck right off. Autism isn't an identity but a disability.

Slothtoes · 28/06/2023 00:43

There was a legal case about requiring the NHS to guarantee to pay the gamete storage costs for years after gender identity treatment. I think that the case was seeking a guarantee of funding over and above other patients who also need gamete storage eg patients who have been treated for cancer. Case was led by ECHR taking NHS England to court, but then they settled.

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 00:45

Why are many of the Irish autism support groups like neurodiversity Ireland & ASIAM pushing the trans agenda? Their only role is to support neurodivergent & autistic children, adults & families.

DemiColon · 28/06/2023 00:58

It reminds me of last year, or maybe the year before, indigenous people's day in Canada decided that it would be all about Two-Spirit people - so basically a gay pride overlay. Of course this is a huge group of people, from very disparate cultures, who have all kinds of different belief systems and personal convictions.

Basically, anyone who wasn't on board with regard to sexuality was not welcomed to celebrate on indigenous persons day.

It all seems quite sinister.

Anyone that wants them or anyone that has them forced upon them?

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 06:40

@BluebellBlueballs not quite they are making it clear on Twitter they don't want to be linked with furries or therians.. I can't understand why? Two other minority groups who are also identifying as things they are not. I thought the inclusive TRAs would be delighted to have them..

Can we reverse this on them, and say that "there is no T without the furries"?

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 06:51

@PorcelinaV of course! There's also no T without the therians (people who believe they are animals born in the wrong body!)

TheVeryThing · 28/06/2023 07:02

I have some experience with Ausome training and some of the materials/ classes she produces for kids are good, in my opinion. Probably most useful for children who have lower support needs.
Unfortunately, her activist / advocacy type work is problematic for me. She seems to be of the view that autistic children with high support needs just happen to have a learning disability as well and their difficulties are not due to autism. She can be very critical of the parents of these children and has been in at least one fairly public disagreement.
she is well able to dish out criticism but cannot take it.
I have seen pro gender id comments previously, suggesting that the higher number of autistic children identifying as trans is because autistic people pay more attention to exploring their identity. I’m not surprised to see her involvement in this.

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 07:05

@TheVeryThing thank you. I was very surprised at ASIAM Irelands recent posts linking trans to autism quite frequently. Surely these support groups need to focus on supporting neurodiversity. Gender identity is completely different.

TheVeryThing · 28/06/2023 07:15

I wasn’t aware of that until this thread and agree that it’s concerning. My dh is neurodivergent also and very much opposed to this ideology. It seems to be widespread in the autistic community though.
my dc is very much in need of support at the moment but I will be extremely cautious about joining any groups/ clubs.

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 07:23

@TheVeryThing isn't it awful to think that the groups you can go to for support & to support your dc are now preaching the trans ideology. I would avoid any pushing the agenda at all costs. Protect your precious child.

RocketPanda · 28/06/2023 07:28

Dd is autistic and attends a day center. There's been a steady rise of the T agenda with lots of talks about identifying as. There's two animal identifiers or trans-sylvanians as dd calls them. Now that my initial anger has calmed I'm asking myself why. Why are the T peddlers attaching themselves to autism. There's no money there, fuck all services and often the parents of autistic teens and adults are pitied because a hulking man having a meltdown over the wrong straw in a milkshake is not cute or doting. Autistic people are completely othered.

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 07:39

@RocketPanda there's lots of money to be made if the austistic children decide to transition...
Are you in Ireland? All the above groups mentioned in Ireland seem to suddenly have started pushing the T in the last few weeks. Interestingly if you look back over ASIAM & Neurodiversity Irelands older posts there's no T agenda mentioned.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 28/06/2023 07:56

It's because if they can take over as the most ND of ND, the best ND of all ND, the ones killing it as ND, then they can demand whatever it is they want access to with a claim for it being a reasonable adjustment.

This may or may not include demands for particular schools to be named on EHCPs - an all girls' school for a transage furry masc presenting enby in his twenties, plus treatment funded by the school instead of having to wait for the NHS, perhaps? The argument that it's an educational need to have surgery? Access to supported living? Benefits?

They're bored with women's spaces, got those, no challenge in it now - and it's probably not so much fun when they're not the only one in the changing room. Time to head for somewhere else.
