Front row seat on the seemingly eternal battle between Jersh (aka Suzi Quatro's Fat Nan) and his Merry Band of Farmers against the Transpowered Forces of Internet Censorship.

Has KF gone completely I can't find it anywhere but keep seeing screenshots from it? Or is it under the radar?

Or do I need to read this whole thread later to get a clue how to get to the green hairy fruit? (no problem if so just don't have time right now!)

Edited - ignore I went back a few pages and am on it now!!!

Edited

No, it's still up. Currently the .st version is working fine.

It is quite amusing how enraged people get over a website that just records what people say and do on the internet.

Exactly.

And KF always have the receipts to back it up. You won't see much misinformation anywhere on KF. There are always screenshots and archived evidence.

People just parrot hate site/stalking/harassment without actually having looked at the content of the site.

Bosky · 06/02/2024 21:03

TownGown · 06/02/2024 09:37

Stalking, harassment, malicious communications, doxxing and false accusations of rape are all crimes in Britain. A provider hosting kiwifarms had to pay out a large sum of money because of the false accusations.

Your link is paywalled, but the headline says it's a stalker website. Even the links you choose say that.

Stalking, harassment and doxxing - they all sound rather like what those Paedophile Hunters get up to before they hand over the perps to the Police.

Or a Dickensian firm of solicitors.

You're not from the UK, are you?

(That's a rhetorical question, by the way.)

I believe it's against the rules to link to fundraisers here so I'll just report that after smashing through the target for its initial $75,000 to bring Epik hosting to court, the Farms has now passed the $148,000 mark and that is just the online payments so they've now almost certainly doubled their goal.

Someone up thread mused on why and how the fundraiser has been so successful compared to other organisations. I would say the below picture found on the Farms captures the energy quite well.

I think also that GC women have had a lot of crowdfunding to contribute to, so we have been spread thinner. I don't imagine the same is true for farmers, so they are giving their financial contributions all to this.

Yessssssss!!!!!

This is fabulous news for Josh. And for GC women everywhere.

(More than double Keffals total also worth nothing).

YY.

Fruityful · 07/02/2024 13:35

I would just point out that the Farms has plenty of GC women on it as well. Comparisons between GC Women and the Farms as separate categories is not quite accurate. Though I think it can be meaningfully contrasted in some harder to define difference in approach and attitude. That's really what I felt the picture I found on there helped convey. This one too.

I guess what I'm really getting at is the notion that KF fundraiser has been so successful because the money isn't divided amongst as many good causes. I'm one of the early funders of Reduxx as well (and continue to be). I couldn't say how many other demands Farmers have on their cash but then the Farms isn't political, has never been meant to be, isn't even a campaigning site. It's just the peanut gallery of the Internet. Only in Clown World, the performers get to sue the audience for laughing.

So you're probably right in the sense of the communities themselves due to the different emphasis. But of the individuals actually contributing, who knows? I think a big part of the success is that Jersh has just set out a simple achievable goal and given a lot of people tired of being maligned a chance to speak back in a way they can be heard. You can see from all the posts along the lines of "I don't have much money but I managed to send $10" that people really want to give to this. They're enjoying it.

Anyway, no grand point to make. Just that it is moving.

This got slightly garbled and no edit here. I shouldn't have used 'sue'. I should have used 'de-platform'. I mean KF / the Peanut gallery as the audience and the performers the lolcows that try to silence those that laugh at them.

SmartHome · 07/02/2024 13:42

yes, I'm a GC woman and I'm on both - in fact josh created a whole section for women do discuss being persecuted, doxxed and harassed by Trans Rights Activists (will ANYONE EVER be able to tell me what human right I currently have that and trans-identifying people don't?).

Fruityful · 07/02/2024 13:54

> (will ANYONE EVER be able to tell me what human right I currently have that and trans-identifying people don't?).

From as far as I've been able to tell, it is the right to remain silent. 😏

DevilinaCardigan · 08/02/2024 08:12

Shamelessly stolen from kf

The litigation fund has doubled its original goal of $75k, now totalling $150,510 USD (~$202,616.56 CAD). This does not include incoming checks, crypto, and or money orders, so the actual total sum is even greater by at least five thousand.

UtopiaPlanitia · 08/02/2024 14:56

Thanks for the update Devil, it would be interesting to see Josh being in a position to fight back against the shady internet censorship - courts can be the crucible for determining facts/truth and it might help people other than Josh himself in terms of maintaining free speech online.

TownGown · 08/02/2024 15:07

If I understand correctly, is the raised funding for an attempt to sue a former provider who terminated kiwifarm's service?

Talk about money to burn. Despite all the talk of so-called "free speech" there are conditions of service to follow, which Josh(kiwifarms) would have agreed to. The website has very clearly broke those terms.

Incase anyone missed it, I will leave this here:

A former host of kiwifarms was ordered by a court to pay $400,000 because of defamation, i.e. false accusations of rape against a trans woman.

Defamation in the internet age: could a $400,000 Australian court ruling silence the notorious online forum Kiwi Farms?

An Australian company that helped the website remain accessible has been ordered to pay damages – but the legal arguments remain unsettled

Ahhh you're back. And with the same link.

Is it morning where you are?

DevilinaCardigan · 08/02/2024 15:45

Not quite @TownGown Maybe have a look at KF and get the real story 😉

Why does this @TownGown person keep asking questions like "if I understand correctly...?" rather than just read the rebuttals on KiwiFarms itself? It's easily found.

Actually, on that point am I correct in assuming that on MN they are allowed to link to defamatory comments about the Farms but we are not allowed to link to the rebuttal on the Farms itself?

Fruityful · 08/02/2024 17:07

Well on the suspicion links to KF are not allowed here, this is the official statement Null put out the other day.

On a related note is that the provider Epik that he is taking to court has already backtracked on their statements. And according to the thread on there, Google has recently re-listed the site. Previously they had an undeclared ban on returning results to the Farms.

Go Josh, go.

Time to revive the idea of a KF MN social? But with proper grown up drink.

LOL can you not read? That's not even what the biassed article you linked says. Much like Fong Jones, you can keep reeing and chucking around false allegations, but #nodebate is over.

Pixiedust1234 · 08/02/2024 17:25

@Fruityful thank you for that screenshot.

I see it says all parties preemptively retracted their statements. How many is all? Two, five, fifty?

Pixiedust1234 · 08/02/2024 17:29

Oh bloody hell....😱

I've just put kiwifarms into google and it's linked to the actual farm! It's alive!! No typing the .whatever after it, just plain and simple "kiwi farms"

Fruityful · 08/02/2024 17:35

Honestly, you'd be better off reading the thread on KF for proper answers really. I'm just someone following along same as others. :)

That said, I think it's just referring to parties in the intended lawsuit so certainly Epik who have been scrambling to wiggle out of this. Last I read they were trying to say that they didn't mean what they said on Twitter and were trying to suggest that they didn't know who might have posted to it. Yeah, right! :)

Needmoresleep · 08/02/2024 17:41

Looking at the fundraiser, it appears that the Australian judgement was a default judgement, not a verdict. Since TownGown has posted the Guardian article so often but seems reluctant to check the Farms for their take, they might instead look at the detail given in the fundraiser.

Apparently KF is being held back by the unwillingness of Australian barristers to act for them. Are British barristers allowed to appear in Australian courts? They have the experience of crowdfunded defence of free speech

Maybe provide evidence if you're going to accuse trans people of rape?
