Another 'piss' protest at the EHRC from trans rights activists

ArabeIIaScott · 23/05/2023 09:33

Seems this is the same 'POT' group as last year - 'Pissed off Ts'

https://www.instagram.com/p/CsitvEOqMQl/

'Following the EHRC’s guidance to alter the Equality Act to only protect on the basis of ‘biological sex’ P.O.T. have staged our second piss zap on the Equality and Human Rights Commission offices.

We placed 90 litres of trans piss outside the building and in their revolving doors, rendering the EHRC more explicitly what it already was: an inaccessible mess. Pouring piss is an anarchist act of resistance that stakes an urgent and lingering claim on our basic human rights. It foregrounds the public embarrassment we experience as targets of the media and the state, and that we in turn also experience when we are forcibly prohibited from single sex spaces such as restrooms. IF YOU TAKE AWAY OUR TOILETS WE’LL MAKE ONE OF YOUR DOORSTEP. Our zaps are pungent proof in the noses of our oppressors that you cannot rinse us from the record or legislate us out of existence. We are here and we need to piss.

In this zap we also played a re-enacted transcript of the EHRC’s meeting with LGBTQIA+ representatives out of a speaker trapped in a bottle of piss. This transcript found in full via @transactualuk demonstrates the EHRC’s incompetence and cowardice as a National Human Rights Institution, as they evade and fumble through vital questions like ‘what is biological sex?’.

BIO SEX ISN’T BINARY

YOU CANNOT CLEANSE US FROM EXISTENCE

THE EHRC HAS BLOOD ON ITS HANDS AND PISS IN ITS STREETS'

This is the song used on the video.

Lyrics are interesting.

https://genius.com/Gloss-gloss-were-from-the-future-lyrics

'They told us we were girls
How we talk, dress, look, and cry
They told us we were girls
So we claimed our female lives
Now they tell us we aren't girls
Our femininity doesn't fit
We're fucking future girls
Living outside society's shit

[Verse 1]
We're from the future, you're from the past
We live our own way, not up history's ass
Won't reenact, won't perform their hardcore
The straight-boy canon is a royal bore

[Hook]
The future, faggots and femmes
The future, not just any outcasts

[Bridge]
Girls. Living. Outside. Society's. Shit!

[Verse 2]
What's the point in sucking them off?
Trendy mutant skinheads can jerk themselves off
We don't need validation from them
They think they're the shit but they can't handle hard femmes

Always seemed to me that the trans movement was largely based around the assumption that the bullies who told you you were the opposite sex in the school playground were actually right. Nice to see some confirmation of that in the opening lines here.

I'd rather not be on the side of eight-year-old bullies, personally.

PriOn1 · 23/05/2023 12:07

Raw terror? That’s hilariously unbelievable.

Fleeing the country? Go for it mate. Don’t let the door catch you on your way out.

Any tears at bedtime were doubtless doubled up with gnashing of teeth and rage and nothing to do with fear.

I do feel sorry for women when they are being clearly bullied by abusive men, who know exactly what they are doing and relish their power to do it.

Justme56 · 23/05/2023 12:08

That poem:

Bullied for being girly

TRA: We’ll show them by actually identifying as girls (in our heads that sounds like a win)

Rest of the world: you are doing exactly what the bullies want you wet wipes!

hamstersarse · 23/05/2023 12:11

Interesting choice of protest props: Piss

I dunno, I get a flashback to Sam Smith's video of them with piss and set off in a trajectory in my mind about golden showers and yeah, perversion.

I found this transcript. I haven't read it yet, and it's by Jane Fae, so I don't know how accurate it is.
https://jane-67706.medium.com/gender-the-ehrc-explain-a17cd4332b5

Thanks, that's handy. As you say, no way of verifying the accuracy, but we can presume when they quote themselves they are roughly accurately representing their views. Some extracts:

'HB: OK. So would you accept then that there are other aspects of sex which are biological such as hormonal makeup, ah, for example, or psychological makeup which might, which also come under the term biological, which should also be part of the sex definition?'

...

'...when your letter talks about reasons for, erm, excluding trans women from women’s spaces, how, how do you expect me to live my life? How do you expect me to be a councillor and represent my constituents? How do you expect me to do my work in Parliament if I cannot use women’s facilities?'

...

'You’re not answering any questions. You’re avoiding answering questions which might get you into trouble. And that’s — that is just appalling.
110:47 And can you not see how that makes, well, can you not see what effect that has on your standing, not just within trans communities but within the wider LGBT community, and I know that this is also shared in other protected characteristics as well, who are looking on what you are now doing to trans people and thinking, dear god, I hope they don’t turn on us. Because they fear that too.'

[NB: Belcher seems to have decided Belcher can now talk on behalf of people with other protected characteristics].

You know, all the women I know, if they had been genuinely in tears and terror the night before, would likely be showing emotion when retelling it and the emotion would not be a temper mantrum!

The woman at the EHCR was in a difficult position. I’m glad she didn’t back down. But I wish she had the strength to stand up to the bullying and explain that, as a body, the EHCR had identified a clear clash of rights, which is why clarification is necessary and that, if Belcher wants a useable law that respects everyone’s rights, then another pathway must be found.

But male on female bullying is always horrible to witness, even third hand through the medium of yet another bully.

I also notes that Belcher referenced being unable to do a job in Parliament, implying that Belcher has a job in Parliament. Belcher is a county councillor and has failed to win a seat as an MP twice.

They have as much need to be in Parliament as I do ie none

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 23/05/2023 12:19

nice one fellas

hearts and minds

more irrational tantrums and spreading your piss around in public places is definitely going to help with that

👍👍👍

itsmylife7 · 23/05/2023 12:38

It's a fetish all this pissing lark.... what a bunch of dicks they are.

Boiledbeetle · 23/05/2023 12:43

How to show people why women don't want men in their spaces.

So glad we didn't have to witness duckhead pour it all over his dress again.

I'm at a loss to be honest at who exactly they think is going to see this and think "ooh great idea. That really told them!"

Belcher: How do you expect me to do my work in Parliament if I cannot use women’s facilities? … That’s a really basic element of human rights and the proposal seems to me to demand that I am openly identifiable as trans in any interaction with public services. So how does that square with my right to privacy?

That is such a tell isn't it? Admitting that the use of women's facilities is ALL about validation.

terryleather · 23/05/2023 13:00

The smell of all that piss isn't enough to cover up the stench of entitled narc rage...

Oh, interesting! So Belcher is identifying as a parliamentarian, as well as spokesperson for people of all protected characteristics. Belcher seems to be shouldering an awful lot of responsibility.

Did it not occur to them that this just completely demonstrates why we don't want to share our spaces with them?

Gross dirty fetishists

Own goal 😊

Sorry to tell you that as long as folk have eyes your "right to privacy" wrt your special identity is a moot point...

Dontsaymyname · 23/05/2023 13:03

Well it certainly proves that they've all got penises (ie, are men), because we all know how difficult it is to pee into a bottle without one!

Joking aside, and whilst ignoring them is tempting, this is disgusting. Given that men regularly get arrested for peeing drunkenly on the street, any chance this lot can also get arrested for public nuisance disorder, or whatever a suitable charge might be?

Musomama1 · 23/05/2023 13:05

Well allowing men into the women's toilets is very much a piss take.

Anyway, some poor soul from environmental health will be tasked with clearing this up. Not a thought for them from the piss takers.

Utterly entitled, selfish and plainly weird wazzocks.

viques · 23/05/2023 13:05

Men have always pissed in doorways. It’s what men do. QED.

Yep.

the proposal seems to me to demand that I am openly identifiable as trans in any interaction with public services

Just trying to work out the logic of this.

Is Belcher suggesting that when using the women's toilets, people will not guess that Belcher is trans?

How is someone 'identifiable as trans', unless they say they are?

Using the facilities of the one sex when one is clearly of the opposite sex is far more likely to identify one as 'trans'.

Or is Belcher saying that a third space would identify Belcher as trans? I'm sure plenty of people are very happy to use a mixed sex, all gender space - we get plenty of allies on here saying they won't mind doing so. All the 'you can pee next to me' people.

Yes, my first thought was for the poor cleaning staff who will have to clear up the mess.

👍👍 re the archive Arabella

Now I'm hoping that JKR might tweet out some succinctly worded support about how the clarification in the EA will help... along with the video and the ambiguitity about "biological sex". Clarity is clearly the way forward. I'd be amazed if any MP who sees this video thinks otherwise.

I don't think the media will pick this story up without some high profile help.

🤞🤞🤞

This is the gotcha nonsense on which their edifice is built.

No mate. You might have all agreed with yourselves that this makes sense but it really doesn't.

You’re not answering any questions. You’re avoiding answering questions which might get you into trouble. And that’s — that is just appalling.

Get you into trouble? Nope, your questions are not being answered because they are leading questions that are designed to manipulate. It's visible from space. We've all seen them many, many times.

No-one is obligated to go along with this. It's not your human right to have people agree to this manipulation.

WickedSerious · 23/05/2023 13:16

Pissing into a bottle could well be the solution to all of their lavatorial woes.
