Another 'piss' protest at the EHRC from trans rights activists

Seems this is the same 'POT' group as last year - 'Pissed off Ts'

https://www.instagram.com/p/CsitvEOqMQl/

'Following the EHRC’s guidance to alter the Equality Act to only protect on the basis of ‘biological sex’ P.O.T. have staged our second piss zap on the Equality and Human Rights Commission offices.

We placed 90 litres of trans piss outside the building and in their revolving doors, rendering the EHRC more explicitly what it already was: an inaccessible mess. Pouring piss is an anarchist act of resistance that stakes an urgent and lingering claim on our basic human rights. It foregrounds the public embarrassment we experience as targets of the media and the state, and that we in turn also experience when we are forcibly prohibited from single sex spaces such as restrooms. IF YOU TAKE AWAY OUR TOILETS WE’LL MAKE ONE OF YOUR DOORSTEP. Our zaps are pungent proof in the noses of our oppressors that you cannot rinse us from the record or legislate us out of existence. We are here and we need to piss.

In this zap we also played a re-enacted transcript of the EHRC’s meeting with LGBTQIA+ representatives out of a speaker trapped in a bottle of piss. This transcript found in full via @transactualuk demonstrates the EHRC’s incompetence and cowardice as a National Human Rights Institution, as they evade and fumble through vital questions like ‘what is biological sex?’.

BIO SEX ISN’T BINARY

YOU CANNOT CLEANSE US FROM EXISTENCE

THE EHRC HAS BLOOD ON ITS HANDS AND PISS IN ITS STREETS'

Apologies! Cross posted.

I'm trying to find record of the meeting. It's only on Belcher's say-so so far as I can see.

Idly wonders whether Confusion or Lostmarbles (such apt names) will be along to explain why these men should be in women only spaces??

ArabeIIaScott · 23/05/2023 10:33

Perhaps thi meeting:

https://transsafety.network/posts/ehrc-biological-sex/

'reports by Trans Actual of similar comments made at a meeting of the EHRC with trans organisation representatives on April 5th.During that meeting, Melanie Field, the EHRC’s executive director for strategy, policy, legal and Wales, suggested to Trans Actual’s Helen Belcher that “sex recorded at birth is a proxy for biological sex”.'

EHRC Admits It Has No Clue What Biological Sex Is

A shambolic few weeks for the EHRC has them "clarifying" sex in law by replacing it with something they can't define.

I’m sure everyone would agree that drenching the exterior of a workplace with stale, saved-up piss in a massive tantrum because you haven’t been allowed to get everything you want is an entirely balanced and measured action, denoting serious argument, and not in any way the bleatings of a totally unhinged band of petulant juvenile twats.

Wow. This level of rage is not helping anybody.

On a positive note, it's helping to make it clear that there is ambuity in the Equality Act. Even that is clear from this video, with the clips that have been included from the inclusion of the conversation with EHRC spokesperson. One party interprets it one way, one party interprets it another way. This can only possibly result from ambuity.

The debate in parliament should be an interesting one. At the very least the "reassuring statement" that was published in the petition saying that everything is clear must be null and void.

Bring on the debate on the 12th June. I do hope that anyone who believes that biological sex is immutable is wearing waterproofs. I can't imagine Rishi Sunak wants to get covered in piss so hopefully someone will give him a rip-off that it's a reasonable possibility that he might. It's a level up from when John Prescott got an egg on him.

Fingers crossed this hits the news. Everyone will be happy if it does. The protesters get to have their voice heard (surely that's what they want) and the public gets to hear that apparently Rishi Sunak is wrong about sex being immutable.

In the meantime, I feel sad for transgender people whose voice is being drowned out. What about Miranda Yardley who has campaigned for third spaces so that anyone who doesn't feel comfortable using facilities commensurate with their biological sex can do so with dignity? Transgender people absolutely do deserve to live free of discrimination and without fear. They have rights already under the Equality Act. Clarifying the difference between biological sex and gender identity does nothing to remove their rights to live their lives free of discrimination.

*tip-off

WandaWomblesaurus · 23/05/2023 10:42

Sam Smith surely could do his next video there splashing around in it?

Hepwo · 23/05/2023 10:50

So the operational head of the EHRC has no answers yet sits silently while his organisation plays a key part in stripping rights and protections away from trans people. It's absolutely disgusting.

Of course there's an answer but Belcher et al don't like it.

Answering the question simply leads to the rolling out of the usual nonsense that everyone has heard time after time.

BonfireLady · 23/05/2023 10:52

Has anyone archived the clip in case it gets zapped? The one on the Instagram link.

Even if the mainstream news doesn't pick it up, hopefully someone (Sex Matters?) can add it to any briefs that they are creating. I'm sure there will be lots of information available to MPs ahead of the debate - this one is pretty important.

RealityFan · 23/05/2023 11:09

Can you imagine if the attendees at the National Conservatism conference had pissed themselves on stage...the usual suspects in the MSM and activist Left would be all over it.

"Facist piss! Nazi piss! Pissers taking us back to the Dark Ages!"

But a bunch of aggressive leftist men let it all go for The Cause? Tumbleweed from MSM.

PriOn1 · 23/05/2023 11:22

Interesting that one side is calling for clarification, while the other appears to be calling for the continuation of the current lack of clarity.

Anyone honest should want clarity.

If they had a genuine, reasonable request, their query should be whether it can be clarified in a different way than the clarification that women’s rights activists are calling for.

The fact that they don’t want clarification at all is an indicator that they are fully willing to use any loopholes or weaknesses in clarity to their own ends. They are very skilled at doing so and do not want their advantage removed.

RealityFan · 23/05/2023 11:30

"The Trans Safety Network called out to the EHRC for comments but no reply".

Haha, a taste of the No Debate perpetrated by the other side for a decade now.

I hope the BBC pick up on this one.

If the bcc (or anyone else) pick this up, I hope they wash their hands afterwards.

God, those men are just like the tom cats that come and spray all over my garden. They are doing it to scare my female cats and try and claim a space that doesn’t belong to them.

I wonder if a squeezy bottle of water might see them off 🙄

RealityFan · 23/05/2023 11:42

What WILL they all say to each other in their groups when they've driven every woman out of public life?

You're thinking too small. Water cannon, medium size, will do.

I found this transcript. I haven't read it yet, and it's by Jane Fae, so I don't know how accurate it is.

Picture of a startled looking man in 18th century costume holding a finger to his lips, as though suggesting others should stay silent. Caption: “Shh! The EHRC are answering questions on their attitude to trans people…”

Yet still there are people claiming “this debate is toxic on both sides”.

“Trans piss” 😂 I’m guessing it’s better than, er, cis piss.

PriOn1 · 23/05/2023 12:00

No bias at all in the way one party is being framed as incisive and the next umming and ahing all over the shop! No sirree!

I see Fae also can’t even give Kemi Badenoch her correct name. Pretty ignorant.

WickedSerious · 23/05/2023 12:02

Silly fuckers.
