Just posting this as on a thread elsewhere I made some disparaging remarks that the debate will be shuffled off to some small committee room.

But they must think that more than a few MPs are wanting to take part as I have just seen it will be in Westminster Hall.

Will be interesting to see which MPs are willing to state views about the reality of biological sex in public!

Event will be broadcast live.

Okay because women aren't always treated equally there's no point in trying to protect them by making the definition of sex clear.

Same old lie that this is the same as Section 28.

Catiette · 12/06/2023 19:22

She worries about tone, after presumably not challenging that sign?!

sourdoughismyreligion · 12/06/2023 19:22

Listening to the Scottish MP talking about how her rights aren't threatened by trans people, when her country put a double rapist in a women's prison.

Boiledbeetle · 12/06/2023 19:22

Slothtoes · 12/06/2023 19:22

Anna Firth MP Conservative doing brilliantly
Fabulous
Trans people should be supported, we are not here to talk about the protected characteristic of gender reassignment, this is about biological sex
Women and girls need to know Female signs on doors not up for negotiation
Male GRC holders as of right should not be accessing female only services
Case by Case doesn’t work for service providers to make access decisions to single sex services

IwantToRetire · 12/06/2023 19:23

Trying to deny there is an issue. Its all just anti woke. Its all too emotional to speak about it. So just stop.

I wonder if the bloke behind her has just seen the photo which was shared on here a little while ago? 😃

section 28 was Introduced by Margaret Thatcher's Conservative government, it was in effect from 1988 to 2000 in Scotland and from 1988 to 2003 in England and Wales. I

IwantToRetire · 12/06/2023 19:26

For heavens sake. Feminists know that sex is the basis of women's discrimination and that's why they want to abolish gender.

Do people just make stuff up to suit their arguement.

And as for claiming that as she doesn’t ovulate her sex isn’t clear - FFS SHE HAS CHILDREN.

chilling19 · 12/06/2023 19:26

I despair - I am watching a woman completely throw other women under the bus. Is she so protected that she will never be in a single sex space and be subjected to a man coming in?
