"Lesbians being anti-trans is a lesbophobic trope"

I think this helps give another viewpoint to the "gay people are anti-trans" trope that is often used by the LGB-Alliance and Julie Bindel etc.

Lesbians often have to put up with harmful stereotypes that may deter them from coming out, and in recent years the "lesbians are anti-trans" is another stereotype on top of the existing ones.

'Lesbians being anti-trans is a lesbophobic trope'

Amy Ashenden, Interim CEO of Just Like Us, is dispelling the harmful trope that lesbians are against the trans community.

Are you in the her marketing/SM team of something? Because if you are… this strategy is not very effective.

I read about those straight GC males finding each other amidst the other hairy transwomen (males )on HER and laughed as the place is a total sausage - fest.
I can tell you, without revealing details, that young lesbians are making their own quiet groups, finding each other and sharing female only spaces.

that young lesbians are making their own quiet groups, finding each other and sharing female only spaces.

It's so sad that lesbian spaces are having to go 'underground' to stop males from infiltrating them.

This is what gender ideology does. How any one thinks this is progressive is beyond me.

I refer you to the OP for evidence.

Logic and rationality is in short supply. And exceptionally interesting and rather crowbarred perspectives based on absolute inability to see anything from a service human's POV.

So a well known public figure, male, standing in line for the women's toilets (offense against women number 1, excluding some women while that male meets his wishes at the expense of their needs and inclusion)

adjusting self in a highly male and inappropriate way (which rather messes with the whole just a woman thing and makes it very clear a male sexed person is heading wilfully into a female only space - this particular male with a history of dominating and controlling the space by chasing female people down the street and shouting at them if they show alarm at said male's presence)

becomes: women cruelly stalking innocent trans people in order to mock them for going about their lives peacefully.

nilsmousehammer · 04/05/2023 14:07

It's yet again the outraged "How dare you upset and limit my freedoms by complaining that my size 13 beetlecrushers are hurting your feet when I'm only peacefully jumping up and down on them to express myself."

lechiffre55 · 04/05/2023 14:22

"sexual orientation and gender are different parts of our identities. You can be trans and a lesbian"

Possibly, if that means you are female and identify as a man, and are attracted to females then yes you are a lesbian. Or that could be reduced a little bit to : female and are attracted to females. Which is the definition of lesbian.
Otherwise it's just made up gender woowoo bollocks.
If you've a female and you date dick you are either straight or bi, and if you call yourself a lesbian then you are probably "queer" which is about politics not sexuality now, and also probably have brightly coloured hair which means stay the fuck away from me I'm a toxic virute signalling narcissist.

Fimofriend · 04/05/2023 15:02

I call BS on the story about the two so-called cis-men only being able to find each other when they looked for transwomen on HER. As if all the transwomen on HER are ever so good at passing that the two cis-men couldn't tell they were transwomen. Yeah, right. How very believable! It is clearly a constructed story.

IT IS NOT PHOBIC TO DECLINE TO SLEEP WITH SOMEONE YOU DO NOT FIND ATTRACTIVE!!! NO ONE OWES YOU SEX!

MerlinsLostMarbles · 04/05/2023 13:13

The point being there is an irony here. Gender Critical cis-men unhappy about transwoman being on the app (despite being permitted to be on there both by law and by the app, as mentioned) so they sign up themselves?

And yes the links highlight they are very bad at actually finding transwomen since all they can find are each other. I guess you "can't always tell" after all.

I'm not sure what the Gender Critical aim or point is here? The transwomen using the app aren't doing anything wrong so the gender critical cis men are just signing up to troll and stalk?

And since they intended to post any transwomen they found on their twitter for others to harass could this potentially be a crime? Malicious communication maybe or stalking and harassment with a hate aggravator? They should be hauled up in court for this.

The article has one example?

"Well that's your opinion. My opinion is that heterosexual males have no place on a lesbian dating app, no matter how the identify."

Are you or anyone else being forced against your will to use Her?

This is the inclusive standard of the modern world.

Hahaha 🤣

Justme56 · 04/05/2023 15:52

I saw the tweet with the men on Her. Yes they did find each other plus several other men (I think there were at least 6 if not more). It was quite funny because one of the men got a number of likes. It was so obvious he was just a man (as we’re all the others) I’m not sure who was doing the liking.

I don’t know why TRAs are so caught up about ‘passing’ and whether we ‘can or can’t tell’. Mostly we can, especially in person as opposed to a photo that could have been heavily filtered. Sometimes, it’s true, we may not be able to tell.

But ultimately it doesn’t matter why here or not we can tell. It doesn’t matter if I’m fat and in my forties and less pretty than some transwomen. I’m a woman, they are not. I’ll always be a woman, they never will. A simulacrum, even the prettiest most perfect simulacrum in the world, can never be the real thing. No lesbian is ever going to want a simulacrum of a woman.

Dougalskeeper · 04/05/2023 16:51

The word is 'dirty' lesbians don't want men however they present. What is so hard to understand about this?

howdoesatoastermaketoast · 04/05/2023 17:00

Anyone can be the world's leading expert in who they fancy, who fancies you back is out of your control.

The words people use to describe their sexual orientation cannot (reasonably) be redefined to include different people.

I've never seen any LGBT people say it is "phobic" for people to have preferences over who they wish to sleep with. The only people I've seen say this are Gender Criticals.

OP has sealioned their own thread. Amazing.

You appear to have a knack for only seeing what you want to see.

Stonewall think otherwise as was made clear by Nancy Kelley when she likened lesbians who don't do dick to sexual racists.

But whatever, carry on with your man centring alternative reality.

I have never seen or heard a Gender Critical saying that. Transwomen on the other hand seem to have it as their mantra. So I stand by my accusation that you are being disingenuous.

SquidwardBound · 04/05/2023 17:36

Can we address the utterly dehumanisisng way this particular OP is using ‘GCs’ as a noun on this thread?

It’s not ok.

SquidwardBound · 04/05/2023 17:39

There is no such thing as ‘a gender critical’ It’s a description not a thing.

I am not a gender critical. I do hold many views that do not align with gender identity ideology. It’s not the same thing.

Any lawyers here per chance? I would be interested in what the British law says about "trans hunting" ie people going out of their way to stalk transpeople who are doing nothing wrong then posting them online inviting others to harass and abuse them.

So lets get this straight you are upset that some males are mocking other males for using lesbian dating apps but not for the lesbians who've lost their space in the first place? Sounds about right.

And it’s funny how it’s gender critical women who are to blame for this, and who are supposed to be sad about it and try to fix it, isn’t it? #Bekind, ladies! Make sure the penis-people aren’t upsetting the other penis-people! They’ll get hurty-feelz.

Here let me help jog your memory.
The wonderful Magdalen Berns ( RIP, you were taken far too young Magdalen ) shredding Riley J Dennis' video saying it is "phobic" for people to have preferences over who they wish to sleep with.
Riley appears to have deleted the video Magdalen is criticizing because I can't find it. I wonder why?
I hope this helps with your memory issues?

RE: "Are genital preferences transphobic?" Give it up, Riley!

Riley thinks "the answer is more complicated than you might think". Magdalen has heard the line #TheresMoreToItThanThat many times before and isn't buying wh...

Yes I remember the photo in the ladies of the famous girl mode comedian in the pink coat with his hand underneath it seemingly grasping his sausage.
Men need to use the men's room and respect women's boundaries.

Well put.

Absofeckinlutely! These men think if they look like a Barbie doll or a Thai ladyboy we lesbians will want them; NEVER.
Give me a real imperfect woman any day of the week. Additionally whilst men only want 20somethings, Lesbian culture adores middle-aged women. And Lesbians want partners of their own age.
The youth obsession is strictly male. All you have to do is look at male gay culture where being over 30=old man. So sad.

And just yesterday a photo was circulating Twitter and on here(now deleted thread) of a transwoman queueing to use the toilets with other women, presumably taken and posted online without consent.

Any lawyers here per chance? I would be interested in what the British law says about "trans hunting" ie people going out of their way to stalk transpeople who are doing nothing wrong then posting them online inviting others to harass and abuse them.

You mean the photo of Eddie Izzard scratching his balls outside the ladies' loo?
