For those of who are aware of the Tickle vs Giggle court case in Australia, Sall Grover is looking for some gardening to be done to support her defence. The deplorable response of politicians and the press in Australia to the Let Women Speak rallies, only emphasises how important this case will be.

Just search Giggle crowd fund - she has set up her own site to avoid any potential censorship by the established sites

Removal of facial hair is definitely more of a male activity in my house.

Xiaoxiong · 09/04/2024 16:42

The amazing thing is that all those points are either things that no woman will ever have to do (social transition, surgery, change "gender" markers), things that both men and women may or may not do (remove facial hair, spend money on clothes, have hormonal treatments eg HRT), or things that involve invading women's spaces (changing rooms, sport).

Not even a whiff of womanly essence either.

It's quite an extraordinary list that shows exactly what RT thinks living as a woman is!I

It's ridiculous!

popebishop · 09/04/2024 16:52

spent time and money on her wardrobe

Wtf, do men get their clothes paid for? Is this the right wing funding we're always hearing about?

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 09/04/2024 16:54

It's interesting that it's sufficient for the hormones to have changed Tickell's body, with no reference to what the changes were that would make Tickell a woman. No mention of secondary sex characteristics, or the extent of change.

It doesn't even refer to the direction of the change. To take an extreme example, if a man took hormones that made his penis bigger would that help to qualify him as a woman?

Shit! That's supposed to be a state secret!

Xiaoxiong · 09/04/2024 17:06

Or hormones to prevent the spread of prostate cancer. Suddenly my FIL is a woman!

Waitwhat23 · 09/04/2024 17:16

Great tweet by Helen Joyce -

'What it means to "live as a woman" in one pithy tweet. Roxy Tickle's evidence that he is a woman hinges on his repeated and ongoing intrusion on women only spaces, where by definition he is not permitted, because he's a man not a woman. Then he turns up in court and says that the very fact that he intrudes on women's spaces is evidence that he's entitled to be there. Trans logic is circular logic'

To be clear, what was stated in the tweet was "When asked to detail what “living as a female” meant".

Not "woman": living as female.

So if the answer was "by changing my body to emulate the female body as much as visibly possible" that would be understandable. Not sure what all the bollocks about wardrobes and hockey has to do with that, they sound confused.

However, how 'being female' has anything to do with 'being a woman' remains to be established....

BettyFilous · 09/04/2024 17:55

It’s encouraging that Sall’s case has resulted in mainstream coverage in Australia. Even if it is skewed reporting it means no debate is over. People will understand there are other perspectives and go looking for more information. Once you start looking, well…

Rightsraptor · 09/04/2024 18:05

I don't think it's that men don't need to spend time & money on their wardrobe because the state provides for them in that way, but rather that men just don't bother about that shit. Or real men don't, anyway.

Therefore anyone actually spending time and money on their clothes must be female.

Simple.

I'm a jeans, boots and T-Shirt type. That said, I wouldn't have a Robbie Williams one, but I'd definitely have a UK Subs one. Especially since my wife sneakily threw out my last collection of holes Subs T-shirt, of late 90s vintage!

spent time and money on her wardrobe

I was going to be mean, but I won’t.

anyolddinosaur · 09/04/2024 19:49

Meanwhile women (and a few men) are living as women by funding court cases. A decent increase today to $484,414, might hit the $500,000 tomorrow

stealtheatingtunnocks · 09/04/2024 20:49

Adding in his hockey team might help peak people.

aussies love their sport and having a brick shithouse in a mini skirt on the pitch is such a good image. Journalists can use the Hannah mousey case images. Paints 3 words “fuck off, mate”

Waitwhat23 · 09/04/2024 21:32

This is by far my favourite Hannah Mouncey one

The fund has exceeded the target- now over $512,000. Perhaps the press coverage is finally increasing awareness.

Justme56 · 10/04/2024 07:44

Add long hair to the list (plus others).

Womanhood is not something you can perform your way into. It's not RADA.

I don't think that's fair on anyone, least of all someone (hypothetical someone) who looks like Lord Denethor in a cardigan.

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 10/04/2024 10:33

It's not an app for people with long hair though, is it?

Justme56 · 10/04/2024 10:45

Now this is taken from TT2 so could have been misinterpreted but ‘RT upset greatly that RT is not a woman …’ 🤔

sabinaapplecross · 10/04/2024 11:10

Can some one clarify/ answer the following ... having read Tribunal tweets, yesterday RT gave evidence was questioned by RT's own lawyer, but was there any cross examination from Sal's team ... and will there likely be?

BezMills · 10/04/2024 12:17

I'm quite sympathetic that RT is upset about the fact that RT isn't a woman. I'm upset my body doesn't look like or perform like it did when it was 25, what a ripoff!

This goes for all the people that are upset about their bodies for some reason, I'm here for you!

If it's not a misinterpretation it's interesting that RT's own counsel are not entirely clear on whether or not their client is a woman.
