Boycott New Zealand

Let's hit the state sanctioned violence against women where it hurts - in their pockets.

Off the top of my head:

Wine - Oyster Bay, Villa Maria, the Ned, Wairau Cove, Brancott Eatate, Cloudy Bay
Lamb - check the label to make sure it's British
Manuka honey and ordinary honey - M&S stock quite a few.
Wool
Allbirds shoes
Canterbury clothing.

Have I missed anything?

Also write to the PM: [email protected]
Minister for trade: [email protected]

And tell them you're boycotting and why. There's no point if they don't know you're doing it!

transgender sisters

😂😂😂
It’s always the ‘sisters’, isn’t it? The ‘brothers’ never get a mention, almost as if there is a pecking order on the other side of the rainbow too. 🤔

My 2p - how embarrassing for NZ - women are safer from violence in the streets of Dubai (or any other big city in the Middle East) than over there.

Then why don’t you hop on over to one and try walking around unaccompanied by a male and with your head uncovered. ( obviously not every Middle East country)

Alondra · 27/03/2023 09:33

I have no idea where you are getting your "baying mob" from. In freedom of speech, people have the right to protest as loudly as they want, which is what happened in New Zealand.

The problem with people like you is that you think "freedom of speech" and "protests" only apply to your ideology and if a protest is against you, you call them a mob.

Posie Parker is an extreme right wing ideologist, and New Zealand has given her the marching orders.

If you, or people like you, don't like it, fuck to you.

What else do you call a large group who have broken down barriers and are physically attacking women and children while screaming obscenities?

Oh they don’t care about Muslim women in NZ. Sure they all put on a hijab after the horrific Christchurch incident but they don’t really care or they’d realise Muslim women can’t share spaces with males so will eventually not have access to spaces and sports because of this.

MarshaBradyo · 27/03/2023 09:48

You have probably seen the videos of what actually happened, but you pretend otherwise and minimise and justify it. You are despicable.

They probably have and still excuse male violence against women.

littlbrowndog · 27/03/2023 09:48

What’s this now

posters here defending violence against women. Because they deserved it ?

Whaeanui · 27/03/2023 09:50

Shall we get back to the topic of the thread and ignore the racists calling a bunch of Maori women far right extremists?

they should of gone to the other thread about the tour, the one with all the video evidence of violence, if they wanted to deny it.

this thread is about who you want to boycott. I could get a list together with my friends on some indigenous businesses to support instead?

I think you must be living in a very small bubble. I suspect that most people in New Zealand have, as yet, little awareness of this issue, which was the case here too - until the women's grassroots movement really got going.

You don't need to worry about us living in a "climate of fear" - we're not! The real battle for the rights of females is actually being instigated here - and one day you may well thank your British sisters for their determination.

If young men punching elderly women full on in the face, and displaying violence against women who have gathered to speak about their experience is what you would consider progressive - there's not a lot that can be done for you, I suggest

From what I can gather New Zealand is way behind the times on this issue - not in the vanguard - and is still living with a manipulated and oppressive press which simply does not give voice to alternative views. I also hear that the " be kind" self righteous politics that characterised Jacinda Ardern, has left the country with a few social issues to resolve, certainly around increased criminality and violence - which was quite evident when looking at the scenes from Auckland.

Jacinda Ardern, is every woke 'be kind' men's sexual rights asvicate woman on social media, teaching your child in school, nursing your Granny in the NHS and policing an event called 'Let women speak' where the NZ women we all wanted to hear aren't allowed to speak, they are drowned out, punched repeatedly and liquid thrown on them.

These woke women are the definition of male worshoppers as if these males are their God, like ye olde Pagan human sacrafices, they sacrificed other women in the hope it saves them, it won't, their turn will come.

MarshaBradyo · 27/03/2023 09:53

Alondra did you look at the links of violence against women

Why doesn’t a woman being punched in the face concern you?

IMustDoMoreExercise · 27/03/2023 09:54

LittleFingerStrength · 27/03/2023 09:43

No worry lines, crumpled sad face and headscarf for the Chinese Muslims in Chinese re-education camps or the women in NZ including a 70 year old woman repeatedly punched and KJK.

Exactly.

But then Germany are also doing the same just like they did with Russia. They really do not learn.

A list of indigenous businesses to support is such a great idea. I do fear however, drawing a mob upon their heads if the list is published on here, this board is monitored very closely.

Whaeanui · 27/03/2023 09:55

True. Anyone can message me saying they’d like the list. It’ll take me a few days.

JamSandle · 27/03/2023 09:55

Just goes to show the rabid impact of social media globally.

TrombonesAreNotBones · 27/03/2023 09:56

Okay let us know when the list is ready, Whaeanui, and we can message you.
I know you are busy, and heartsore, so please don't rush.

ShimmeringShirts · 27/03/2023 09:57

@Whaeanui I just want to say I am sorry Māori women are having to deal with this. Thank you for your posts, they have been extremely informative. I hope you all still have the ability to stand up and speak, it is not Māori women who should be carrying the burden of disgrace here and the blame for what happened is only on the people who conducted themselves in such an aggressive and hostile way and those that condone it. Women across the world can see that even if it’s not evident at home yet. You are all such brave women.

Queenofscones · 27/03/2023 09:57

Clymene · 26/03/2023 17:12

I'd always wanted to go but I don't any more. Apart from whqt they did to KJK, watching that older woman being punched repeatedly by a young man has really scared me

I have family and friends in New Zealand and have visited several times. I have always found it an unsettling place because the projected image of a progressive-minded paradise is very quickly dispelled when you're there. It's a society that's decided to identify as progressive but the anger and resentment and misogyny is lurking just under the shiny surface.

In the 90s there was a major satanic panic that gripped much of the country:
https://www.webworm.co/p/satanicpanic and no one seems to have learned from that.

There's a macho culture (even in my university-educated extended family over there the assumption is that women will have children and be SAHM while the men have careers) and small-town rural pressure to fit in and not be different in case you get picked on.

The Never-Ending Legacy of the Satanic Panic

A New Zealand victim of the satanic panic died before the Supreme Court deemed him innocent. How did Peter Ellis end up here?

Whaeanui · 27/03/2023 09:59

Hearing from my sisters back home still, they so appreciate the support from the UK. You can imagine what it’s like for a bunch of Maori women, long time activists and some elderly, being called Nazis in the media ( and here ). They’re very distressed and the support here is comfort to them. Please can the derailers stop referring to Posie and these women as far right. It’s absolutely not true. They’ve been fighting the far right all their lives.

Whaeanui · 27/03/2023 10:00

@ShimmeringShirts thank you so much, I’m passing on these messages. Thank you all.

Violence against women worries me. I'm a feminist, always have been.

But I refuse to support a woman supported by the nazi and extreme right wing ideology in her campaign against "trans women" when she doesn't give a serious program against male violence. It's male violence that's killing women every day.

Why are you trying to stop women speaking?

PatientZorro · 27/03/2023 10:03

And yet here you are enthusiastically defending male violence against women Alondra. The cognitive dissonance is off the scale.

NotHavingIt · 27/03/2023 10:03

Bananice · 27/03/2023 07:18

This isn't the 1940s: the UK can't get all colonial on us and tell us how to think. Someone called kiwis smug upthread: how bloody smug is it to tell us how to live in our country? We are free thinkers and will make up our own mind... and that mind resoundedly told Posey Parker to take her transphobic ideas and go home.

You forget that a decent proportion of us have lived in the UK and know exactly what it's like: I spent ten years there and was back last year. I doubt that many of you could say the same about New Zealand.

Telling us you're ahead of the curve over there and one day we'll wake up to what you're saying? Okay, coloniser 🙄

A lot of ex British colonies tend to embrace radical gender ideology as a way of showing how supposedly " progressive" they are; sort of sticking two fingers up to the old enemy. That is why Scotland embraced such radical and extreme positions when it attempted to reform the GRR. That didn't go down to well.

But if you want to talk about colonisation then it would be interesting to consider what colonisation implies - and then measure the demands of trans activists against it:

Colonialism is a relationship between an indigenous (women) majority and a minority of foreign invaders ( males who identify as women). The fundamental decisions affecting the lives of the colonised people are made and implemented by the colonial rulers in pursuit of their own interests Rejecting cultural compromises with the colonised population, the colonisers are convinced of their own superiority and their ordained mandate to rule.

Colonialism also impacts upon indigenous language use, often forbidding the use of the native language and enforcing linguistic change.Being aware of importance of language and cultural domination, colonialists try to convey their beliefs through language as a cultural tool in an invisible and imperceptible way. ( Transwomen are women: uterus havers: birthing bodies).

Those colonisd are often forbidden to associate or to speak freely in public places under threat of punishment. Free association is controlled and suppressed.

littlbrowndog · 27/03/2023 10:03

It’s not a campaign against men it’s a campaign for women’s rights

still supporting the right for men to attack women are some posters here
