Well, this is a bit special:

A BBC documentary has sparked outrage after a sex therapist suggested men who have a fetish about sex with unconscious partners should be able to pay women to be drugged

www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-11831307/We-Need-Talk-Bill-Cosby-Sex-therapist-calls-women-drugged-money.html

Is it me or is the world getting madder?

Jesus fucking christ. How horrific.

@Toseland - thank you. The article makes clear that my suspicion this person is in for their own gratification is correct.

Sex with an unconscious woman isn't 'rapey'. It's rape.

If you can't consent, it's not sex. It's rape.

Man wants sex with a woman.
Man gets sex with a woman.

And that's it.

It reminds me of the people saying that disabled men should used sex workers as it's not fair they can't that sex.

That a professional has suggested this is massively unprofessional to legitimise such a horrific and unethical practice. She should have her professional accreditation and membership stripped away. Who is she accredited by? She should be removed from the register.

The Mail might well be adhering to the IPSO guidelines in calling her a man. She looks female to me but uses they/him pronouns.

What actual qualifications does this person have. Or is it all just smoke and mirrors? They seem a very contravercial figure.
All the best

“Lived Experience expert”?

Shelefttheweb · 09/03/2023 14:03

Though not this particular experience, but that doesn’t matter.

Lived Experience expert”?

Bloody charlatan. Dangerous one at that.

That is the great thing about ‘lived experience’ - you don’t need a single qualification but you get to dictate to others, including others who dare to suggest they have lived experience too as it is obviously not the right lived experience. And as you are deemed an expert, people consulting you don’t need to look elsewhere for a broader perspective and you can be confident in your opinions on everything.

Lots of organisations are using lived experience experts these days instead of research of or consultation. Absolutely no danger to it at all...

The extinction of expertise! Who do we right to to report this abomination? Oh wait, we probably can't because they are transgender and body positive so they are untouchable.
