To me the whole thing was summed in the aftermath of a chaotic gathering, maybe it was Philadelphia, as KJK was walking away with a local (?) women who said (maybe I misheard): You are a beast, I don't know how you do this girl, this is STRESSFUL.

Oh fab. Is this her “Adult Human Female” film, but with a new title after the plagiarism-adjacent titled film a few moths ago?

lol I agree that title was a bit problematic to use.

I watched the entire Kellie-Jay in the USA live and it was honestly wonderful. Great speakers. So many amazing women.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 28/02/2023 22:40

So good, it had real heart, which has been missing from other attempts to document this madness.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 28/02/2023 22:41

They're all so brave.

GoodWeatherforDucks · 28/02/2023 22:42

I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was! I should never have doubted, because I find just watching the livestreams from her rallies satisfying enough, so why wouldn't it be even better with a soundtrack, edited highlights, good camerawork and shots like KJK defiantly applying her trademark bright lipstick while some outraged dude ranted in the background? I think it really got across the message that while the First Amendment guarantees 'free speech', women gathering to speak up against the loss of our rights and the pediatric transitioning of children, are prevented from being heard, and in some cases, actually physically threatened and hurt.

You think she owns the words Adult Human Female?

ArabellaScott · 28/02/2023 23:16

Yeah, she had them copyrighted and nobody else is now allowed to use any of them, in any combination.

I hear.

AmandaJonah · 28/02/2023 23:19

Obviously not true. You can't copyright a phrase like this.

Of course no one is saying that. But its IS dodgy at the very least when you use it as the title of your documentary and not invite the woman who basically made it into billboards, tshirts, stickers and a trademark for the movement.

It's like doing a documentary about Surrealism and never mentioning Salvador Dali

I think that's a joke.

UtopiaPlanitia · 28/02/2023 23:54

Watching it now 😊

Oh come on! I have spent the best part of a week immersed in the ins and outs of copyright law! I come here for a break!

Villagetoraiseachild · 01/03/2023 00:03

Just watched it...it was fabulous!
Just in case it's not known, you can watch it on YouTube.
Very necessary historical documentation of these times and those who are having the courage to speak out and hold the line.

BoreOfWhabylon · 01/03/2023 00:20

That was really good. Powerful stuff.
Looking forward to KJK Down Under now.

Oh, okay. Here you go:

Type it out three times in red ink, seal it in an envelope with a copy of The Financial Times of the day, post it to yourself ten days in the future and never, ever open it. That phrase is yours forever.

unwashedanddazed · 01/03/2023 17:57

Just watched. Really enjoyed it! Pity there wasn't footage of what happened in New York, as it was the icing on the madness cake.

Well worth watching, very heartening.

unwashedanddazed · 01/03/2023 17:58

Sorry, there's a bit of footage from NY but not of the most awful protesters.

Scienceandreason · 01/03/2023 19:35

It's wonderful.

She is wonderful. And so incredibly brave.

Delphinium20 · 01/03/2023 19:46

So, I'm really confused about copyright regarding the title. It's not against copyright for two creative works to have the same title. Titles can't be copyright protected in the US:

Copywriter.gov/help/faq/faq-protect.html

It isnt but as they stole her title, she just had to damn well put her own name in hers. It's like top trumps!

Delphinium20 · 01/03/2023 19:53

You mean Matt Walsh?

IwantToRetire · 05/03/2023 20:43

Not surprisingly a very sour review of the film by a member of Actual Gender Critical Left who seems surprised that a film called Kellie-Jay in the USA is about ... KJK!

katherinemacosta.substack.com/p/review-of-kellie-jay-in-the-usa

(Is she the one who spoke of FiLias and featured in the subsequent thread "the elephant"?)

Needless to say members of AGCL are thrilled to have their worst notions of KJK confirmed www.facebook.com/groups/904109420071073/posts/1575143746300967/

Sighs!

How un-fucking surprising.

Jealous. They are all green with envy and jealousy.

"Onlookers less familiar with the issues, however, are unlikely to come away better informed, as they might have with leafleting and conversation" 🙄

Yeah OK you do that love, meanwhile KJK can try a different route!
