Just when you think you've seen it all. Apparently the Department for Education has been contacted for comment:

"Sex education has been suspended in Isle of Man schools after a drag queen allegedly told 11-year-olds that there are 73 genders.
The Isle of Man government has launched an independent review of its personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) curriculum after parents raised the alarmm_ about the “graphic, disproportionate, indecent presentation” of sexual acts and different gender identities understood to have been taught in lessons.
Parents of pupils at Queen Elizabeth II High School in Peel, on the Isle of Man, have reported that Year 7 pupils were taught by a drag queenn_ who told them there are 73 genders.
When one “upset” child responded and said “there’s only two”, the drag queen allegedly responded “you’ve upset me” and made the pupil leave the class.
Some 11-year-olds at the school were taught about oral and anal sex, while another group learned about sex change operations and were shown how skin graft taken from a girl’s arm could be used on an artificial penis, according to reports.
“A lot of children are just too traumatised to even talk to their parents," Eliza Cox, vice-chairman of Marown Commissioners, told Energy FM Isle of Man. “As a parent, you don’t know what children are being taught.”
She said that one teacher on the island had told her she had to teach a group of boys and girls in Years 7 and 8 how to masturbate. Another teacher was said to be so uncomfortable with the content of the PSHE curriculum that they told pupils: “Please don’t listen to me” while they taught the lesson."

I hope the parents make a complaint and that every teacher involved is disciplined. There is absolutely now way that things like this should be happening anywhere, let alone in schools.

I have a feeling that the poor sod teachers did not actually make the decision in this case. Probably some loony SLT type.

Schools should not be wasting classroom time and resources on this sort of bollocks.

Welcome @birchtreeglow, I'm fairly new to this board still and have found they're a very forgiving bunch if you make an arse of yourself, so i wouldn't worry. If in doubt, just get the cheeseboard out and the other posters will be golden. :-)

The 73 genders thing is daft and, if that's how it happened, it wasn't necessary to insist the child believes that and it was totally the wrong way to deal with it.

The sex education sounds very inappropriate but I don't see the text saying that the drag queen was doing any of the teaching and therefore it is a matter for the people who designed the curriculum to deal with, but in a nasty, manipulative bit of homophobia it's been written ambiguously to link those with the drag queen. Even a wokey snowflake like me initially read it as the drag queen having done that before I realised that's not what it said, so it's clearly written to set people off.

Maybe you don't like drag, but if you amplify these stories uncritically you are being a useful idiot for deeply unpleasant people who want to destroy LGBTQ's people's lives with the 'won't someone think of the children' line and turning otherwise reasonable people to the idea that all gay rights have gone too far and they need putting back in the closet.

There are proposals to prevent parents from removing children from sex education in school.

We won't be allowed to protect children from this paedophile propaganda by law.

And these men are coming into children's events in libraries and community centres too, so there's no way to avoid their perverted agenda targeting children.

It's surreal how we are all supposed to let it happen.

Decades ago the PIE (Paedophile Information Exchange) made attempts at public acceptance. They gave interviews and promoted 'Man-Boy Love' as a natural and desirable thing. It was very nearly accepted politically. They had a lot of support. Then they were revealed for widespread child sexual abuse and they shut down.

They think the public has had long enough to forget and they can try again.

Each time I see a man in drag surrounding himself with children I remember Jimmy Saville.

@Redebs It looks like either parents will have to remove their child on the day that sex education is taught, that's if they get prior warning, which is doubtful, or remove their children from formal education altogether, in order to shield their children from this insanity. I really do pity any parent with young children of school age, it's a disgrace!

I think it's time LGBT and supporters stopped sneering at 'Won't someone think of the children.' The thing is, people are thinking of them and wondering how it happened that they are being.taught utter nonsense about gender and utter filth about sex.
People are wondering who.the deeply unpleasant people are behind all this and what is to be done about them.
You are concerned about LGBT rights; it might benefit you to shift your focus to the rights of children who are the true victims here and need protecting from very unpleasant people.

Schools don't have to inform parents in advance when teaching about Relationships and they aren't allowed to withdraw children from it anyway.

Who needs teaching how to masturbate? I knew by the time I was 4 or 5 that certain ways I could touch myself gave me a lot of pleasure. As for anal and oral sex, do eleven-year-olds need to know this? What on earth is going on? I have grandchildren this age and stories like this worry the hell out of me.
