Just when you think you've seen it all. Apparently the Department for Education has been contacted for comment:

Drag queen ‘teaches 11-year-olds about anal sex and tells them there are 73 genders’

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/02/27/drag-queen-teaches-11-year-olds-anal-sex-tells-73-genders/

"Sex education has been suspended in Isle of Man schools after a drag queen allegedly told 11-year-olds that there are 73 genders.
The Isle of Man government has launched an independent review of its personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) curriculum after parents raised the alarmm_ about the “graphic, disproportionate, indecent presentation” of sexual acts and different gender identities understood to have been taught in lessons.
Parents of pupils at Queen Elizabeth II High School in Peel, on the Isle of Man, have reported that Year 7 pupils were taught by a drag queenn_ who told them there are 73 genders.
When one “upset” child responded and said “there’s only two”, the drag queen allegedly responded “you’ve upset me” and made the pupil leave the class.
Some 11-year-olds at the school were taught about oral and anal sex, while another group learned about sex change operations and were shown how skin graft taken from a girl’s arm could be used on an artificial penis, according to reports.
“A lot of children are just too traumatised to even talk to their parents," Eliza Cox, vice-chairman of Marown Commissioners, told Energy FM Isle of Man. “As a parent, you don’t know what children are being taught.”
She said that one teacher on the island had told her she had to teach a group of boys and girls in Years 7 and 8 how to masturbate. Another teacher was said to be so uncomfortable with the content of the PSHE curriculum that they told pupils: “Please don’t listen to me” while they taught the lesson."

73 is an odd number. Perhaps he is a radio ham.

tobee · 27/02/2023 19:20

Adults have obviously felt afraid to say "no" to this. So it's left up to an 11 year old child. Ffs.

Yes. My point earlier about 'I was only obeying orders'.
It really won't wash this total safeguarding fail from a professionals who should know better.

Boiledbeetle · 27/02/2023 19:25

The whole thing is appalling.

The grown up throwing a kid out for telling the truth needs shutting down immediately.

And

No teacher in any school anywhere should be teaching children how to masturbate. EVER!

wonderstuff · 27/02/2023 19:27

Christ! I’d like to think if this was my school I’d be refusing to take part and making my feelings known, but I’m old and grumpy now, we know that most people feel obliged to do as they are instructed by their managers. It has to stop somewhere, even that drag name is highly offensive.

Sharpbridge · 27/02/2023 19:38

The government needs to introduce hefty fines for schools that teach lies and/or traumatic material to primary age children.

Nothing else will stop it. Too many activists have campaigned too aggressively and too successfully for their ‘right’ to enter schools and groom children into their world of kink.

Tekkentime · 27/02/2023 19:39

This will just have parents opting their kids out of sex education, (and for some, school altogether) it's very short-sighted because more kids will not get basic sex-ed now.

thedankness · 27/02/2023 19:41

Teachers are supposed to act 'in loco parentis'....the very first time a teacher was asked to impart ridiculous knowledge that they would not have wanted their own kids to hear, they should have refused and done something appropriate instead...that is their actual safeguarding role.

Completely agree. Professionals should not be put in this stupid position in the first place, but since they have been they absolutely should decline to teach inappropriate material. The responses of these teachers are weak.

I think that this weakness is partly cultural in our public institutions generally; the "correct views" are selected for and groupthink nurtured within education, the nhs, civil service, bbc etc. But when it comes to working with vulnerable people and issues of safeguarding you need dissenters and people with moral courage.

No fucking words.

Plenty of emojis though 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤬🤬🤬🤬🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Agree enough is enough I’ve had it to hear with this, now drag queens teaching sex education and what he teaching doesn’t appropriate at that age. At 11 I’d have horrified at anal sex teaching.

I can't tell from the article whether the drag queen debacle and the anal sex teaching are two separate incidents.

I’m sick of this drag queen in schools and what they are teaching especially the anal sex at age 11 children they don’t need to know this.

Its White Male Privilege in a dress and that's exactly why they're getting away with this kind of stuff. No other demographic would get away with it. Its the elephant in the room in plain sight thats not discussed.

& Just imagine a female teacher in skimpy clothing delivering a SexEd class; the villification would be off the scale.

If there is ever an end put to this utter madness, it won't be women's collective voices that will shut it down ( Which isn't to say women shouldn't keep on speaking out. Of course we must). It will be the sheer weight of men's voices joining with women against this kind of thing. & whether it will ever happen that men mobilise and speak out against all of this, I just don't know. For now, I can't see it.

Amanita4 · 27/02/2023 19:55

@DeeCeeCherry well said.

Sex education should be a serious subject, why the fuck are they getting a clown performing a piss-poor parody of a woman in to teach it?

100%

GarveySister · 27/02/2023 19:58

Fucking hell. That is SO disturbing.

The government need to sort this shit out and stop allowing schools to teach this dangerous nonsense to children.

misschem · 27/02/2023 19:59

This is exactly why my children will be attending the school I work at.

I'll stay out of their way as much as I can, but at least I'll know what's being taught to them.

HooverIsAlwaysBroken · 27/02/2023 20:02

I don’t care about the amount of genders. If they want to say that it is pronouns and show this film, I am ok with that 😁

on a serious note, I am completely shocked that adults who want to discuss sex practice with small children may not be the most suitable, genuinely shocked!!

SinnerBoy · 27/02/2023 20:03

I must be pretty thick, but why is Aida H Dee offensive?

Nomorebeer22 · 27/02/2023 20:04

Unfortunately it's all true. Its been being talked about on island for a good few days now. Most people can see it for what it is, totally disgraceful and grooming of our children. It was being discussed on fb by a local politician who thought it was totally fine and the shared a picture of a drag queen stood next to a wall with
"The biggest danger of taking your child to a drag show is that a christian will turn up with a gun" in big balloon letters.

When it was being discussed she made out that all the parents (or just normal bloody sensible people) who are in uproar a out this are just kicking off because trans stuff was being discussed. Yeah, that's the main issue. Not teaching 11 year olds that anal sex and other kinks are totally normal. Crazy crazy people.

bellac11 · 27/02/2023 20:04

Whats the rules on curriculum for the Isle of Man, is it bound by the UK government

What led the school to make this choice?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 27/02/2023 20:10

Who can forget the time when Pink News breathlessly reported that "Aida" had been sent death threats on Mumsnet, just because a poster had said that anyone else using ADHD as a name "would be crucified", ie they would be cancelled, not nailed to an actual cross and executed.

mach2 · 27/02/2023 20:11

It is very "emporer's new clothes".

AnneLovesGilbert · 27/02/2023 20:12

I don’t want to derail/merail but as someone with a child starting school this year how the fuck do you know whether or not they’ll have bought into this abusive insanity? Are there red flags about a school’s ideological capture or does your child just come home one day saying people can literally change sex or telling you about adult sexual practises?

It terrifies me. Whatever we tell them as parents of course they listen to their teachers, that’s the point of school.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 27/02/2023 20:16

Are there red flags about a school’s ideological capture or does your child just come home one day saying people can literally change sex or telling you about adult sexual practises?

From what I've seen it varies. Sometimes people see red flags before it gets to that stage. Sometimes the school completely outsources their teaching on this to Mermaids, Gendered Intelligence, Stonewall etc and don't really keep an eye on them. Sometimes you have gender zealots on the staff.
