KJK opposing fertility treatment for gay couples

KJK seems to have an ongoing beef with same sex couples having fertility treatment. Why? How is this benefiting women's rights?

Is is definitely not benefiting lesbian rights.

It also appears to be attracting all the homophobes on Twitter.

According to this board the lesbian couple just need to find a man to have sex with and lie back and think of England.
The extent to which you are prepared to defame other women, in order to further your own interests will never cease to amaze me, Sappho.

No they are a couple with fertility issues due to lack of sperm. A lesbian couple also has fertility issues due to lack of sperm.

According to KJK only the straight couple's fertility issues are valid.

No, it is an infertile man. Both partners in a couple may have issues with their fertility but barring that if only one of them has a medical problem with fertility that does not magically mean the other has a fertility problem.
Again, no, lesbian couples are free to pursue insemination by whatever means they like, but as it’s not a health issue the NHS won’t be paying for it. It’s quite simple when you don’t contort yourself to paint nature as a homophobe.

FOJN · 22/02/2023 22:35

Thinking on about this, what happens when two fertile heterosexuals wish to reproduce but the father's sperm must be surgically collected as he has paraplegia? That is an issue of reproductive mechanics and not infertility, Does the NHS assist in those cases?

I've only seen this happen once. It's not a surgical procedure. The collection is usually done quite soon, within a few months, after spinal injury because the sperm count tends to drop to infertility levels beyond that time frame. The NHS did provide the sperm collection treatment but I'm not sure what happened to the sample after that. It's not an option many people consider when they are still trying to come to terms with the ramifications of a life changing injury.

Two women wouldn’t have to use a surrogate, unless both women had fertility issues which eg prevented them from ovulating or subsequently gestating a baby.

On the face of it, her statement is entirely factual. Same sex couples can’t conceive unless a third party is involved somewhere in the process. Either via sperm donation or egg donation and surrogacy.

This! Statement of fact.

Yes and imagine trying to use the example of a catastrophically injured man to say well lesbians have a problem with sperm mechanics. Good god.

The timing of this thread is very interesting given KJK is being interviewed by the Police this week for (IIRC) spurious allegations of saying something homophobic, in Brighton.

You have to wonder who reported her.

Indeed Tinsel

You said the board…chum

you did not say one poster

you said the board…fucking own it

That would require honesty.

BreadInCaptivity · 22/02/2023 22:43

No, they are a couple with a male who has fertility issues because he is unable to produce sperm despite the biological capacity that should exist for him to do so.

A lesbian couple have never, and will never have the biological capacity to produce sperm.

Your fixation with fertility is bizarre.

That's a lie.

That's also a lie. Pp have said that they need a sperm donor. Sperm + egg = baby is not a fertility issue.

Sapphos you've jumped the shark. I can't take this seriously.

Get a grip. One person said it was an option if you were that desperate for a child but otherwise no one thinks lesbians should have to have sex with men, we say as much frequently.

Gay men do not have sex with women in order to have children, they have a wank and supply their semen and a syringe to their potential surrogate. You haven't given a reason about why this is not a suitable solution for lesbians who do not have medically diagnosed infertility.

Saving gametes due to illness/injury doesn’t automatically get you the right to use them via IVF later anyway.

My daughter has ovarian tissue in the deep freeze due to childhood cancer.
The NHS paid for removal and storage but we were warned that there might not be any funding available for IUI or IVF if reimplanting it doesn’t allow her to conceive via sex/home insemination (no idea what her sexual orientation will be yet).

Lesbians just need a male partner, they just need a man. Hmmm where have we heard that before 🤔

Im gonna tell ds1 and boyfriend that they are infertile

i might do it over Sunday lunch 🤔

im off to bed…night all

ThrowawayBerna · 22/02/2023 22:47

No, I was wondering what intervention would be made by the NHS in such a case assuming the couple wanted it. Lesbians are not by default infertile, but do need help to conceive. Don't be so emotive yourself.

Sapphos is obsessed with KJK. I believe that Sapphos saw this tweet, decided it was convincing "evidence" that KJK is a bad 'un, and thought it would sow some seeds of doubt. Sapphos spends a lot of time thinking about KJK and how to discredit her. No one knows why. I don't know who reported KJK to the police, but I'm sure Sapphos hopes to put some women off from giving their support.

No. They need a sperm donor. No one is saying they need to have sex with a man, although that is one way to get sperm.

You constantly repeating it? They do need sperm. Sperm is produced by men. Children of 4 can understand this

Well if they want a baby they will need sperm. Male, human sperm. From a man. Jesus wept.

Silvergone · 22/02/2023 22:51

SapphosRock · 22/02/2023 14:20

Yes it is. It is not being able to conceive as a couple.

I’m infertile.

It’s fucking insulting to compare my struggles and damaged body with the healthy body of a fertile lesbian who could conceive anytime she wants if she had sex with a man. If that isn’t her sexual preference that doesn’t mean she’s infertile.
