"...officers seized a Samsung mobile phone on which they discovered 84 indecent images in category A - those graded as showing the most serious forms of abuse.

These included pictures and videos showing children aged as young as four being raped. Also found were 30 category B images and 35 in category C, which had been collected since October"

Except of course, the offender, Ketan Shende, is not a woman.

The judge said 'your or the males' gratification'.

Same thing, surely?

Wiccan · 10/02/2023 15:10

Jesus the whole topic of trans is giving me mental health issues . The world has gone fucking insane and Maggie Chapman will still insist that men claiming to be women isn't a problem .

PSNonsense · 10/02/2023 14:50

So sick of this shit. It skews crime stats, especially sexual ones, if this goes down as being committed by a woman. When will it end?

I was reading another Twitter thread where India Willoughby was getting all 'do you look in the pants of transwomen to check' or some pish like that. It's clear just by looking at the face what sex they are. No nether regions have to be looked at to confirm.

Haha no. It’s obvious in the facial structure. Trust me India, you don’t pass as well as you think you do

There does appear to be, to the layman, an increasing pattern of judges avoiding sending men to prison where a trans identity is involved.

I’d agree. I think it’s due to safety issues.

That’s why I think one prison should be converted to be a trans prison. Take one of the smaller women’s prisons not like we do much crime anyway, just stop convicting sex workers. Put and transmen in different secure, fully separated wings (no mixing) in the new trans prison. Give family members railcards to come visit once a month.

Rightsraptor · 10/02/2023 15:13

And time to remind ourselves of the IPSO (Independent Press Standards Organisation) consultation which is currently wanting our views. There's a thread on here.

You know what to do.

Onnabugeisha · 10/02/2023 15:13

”transwomen and transmen” not sure how transwomen got deleted out.

Excellent point!

Or just add them into the general population of the Men's estate. In my experience, sexual offences with minors are not welcomed with open arms....

BoreOfWhabylon · 10/02/2023 14:47

Thing is, it's likely to be recorded as a crime committed by a woman

Yep. And then this is used as an argument that women shouldn’t be afraid of men or need single sex facilities because “women are [abusers / rapists / violent] too” 🤬

The courts need a total reset of their sentences guidlines vis a vis offences against women and children.

aweegc · 10/02/2023 15:36

I think generally when it comes to sentencing that avoiding these people being sent to prison is definitely a trend. However, it's no secret that having the worst types of images in your possession isn't enough to get you in a prison. At least if you're of the male sex. There are simply FAR too many of these offenders. It's quite vomit-inducing reading the numbers. I don't have them to hand and don't have time to get them just now, but it's really horrific. Basically unless you actually filmed L/photographed them yourself you'll not be behind bars. The fact that a suspended sentence was given here is as good as it gets.

It's truly horrific. I would like the viewing and distribution of such images to be counted the same as actually filming them/perpetrating the abuse. Because I don't see the difference between doing it and essentially passively outsourcing it.

AnyFucker · 10/02/2023 15:41

This bloke also admitted four counts of making indecent images

lifeturnsonadime · 10/02/2023 15:43

The head tilt gives it away.

Vile man. It' shocking that men can engage in child porn via images and still not receive a custodial sentence.

"I note you have a history of depressive illness, a mixed personality disorder and gender dysphoria. You have also abused alcohol, which seems to have stemmed from an unhappy childhood and emotional trauma as you seek to transition from male to female.

"I have thought long and hard as to whether an immediate custodial sentence should be imposed. In the event, I have drawn back from that course.

From the article I am fairly sure 'being trans' was a get out of jail free card.

ArcaneWireless · 10/02/2023 15:45

And still walks free?

Fucking shameful.

GCAcademic · 10/02/2023 15:46

The term “making indecent images” is misleading. It doesn’t mean he made a film or photograph. Generally it refers to someone forwarding an image or film to someone else.

He’s still a fucking horror though.

Clymene · 10/02/2023 15:47

I used to work with a bloke called Ketan. Ketan is a male name. Hope this bloke rots in hell.

#notourcrimes

This this and this.

I'm so fucking angry.

This is worth marching for

AnyFucker · 10/02/2023 15:50

I am aware that “making” can actually mean distributing images but if you read the article it mentions the two acts separately. Perhaps it’s poor reporting but I would be interested in exactly what this bloke has actually got away with

Alphabetasoul · 10/02/2023 15:56

I'm not excusing what they have done but they look as if they have some sort of mental disability which could skew their thinking . Their devices and internet activity should be monitored either by carers or family if they have them .

Wiccan · 10/02/2023 15:58

Disgusting that his struggles / mental health / alcohol use are more important than the pain / abuse & fear that these poor children have gone through . The sick fuck should be behind bars !

Westfacing · 10/02/2023 16:03

Excuse my ignorance - is it actually illegal for the papers to refer to such a person as a 'Transwoman' or is it guidelines?

It's just so misleading for the headline to state 'Woman' - I'm sick of it.

Clymene · 10/02/2023 16:04

He 'looks' as if he has a mental disability? WTF Confused The judge didn't mention it when he let him walk free from court.

"I note you have a history of depressive illness, a mixed personality disorder and gender dysphoria. You have also abused alcohol, which seems to have stemmed from an unhappy childhood and emotional trauma as you seek to transition from male to female."

If you're talking about the head tilt, that's a thing men do when they're trying to look like women.

mrshoho · 10/02/2023 16:05

They just keep on coming. All these examples of what we were assured would never happen ay.

Nicola Sturgeon, Keir Starmer, do you get it now?? Or are you going to continue to ignore or just make up the classifications as each one of these pieces of filth is uncovered.
