Hogwarts Legacy gets great reviews

The Hogwarts Legacy reviews have dropped from major game review sites before release tomorrow and they are great:

Typical review below is an example it has some of the usual anti JKR performative nonsense, but otherwise the review shows how good the game is and how close it ties into the magic of the books. :

The massive failure of the campaign against Hogwarts Legacy is another example of TRA self sabotage. The game itself is good and is going to do more massive sales now it is out, and the controversy helped give it great name recognition. Better than that it demonstrates that "transphobia" is a meaningless term which people increasingly ignore. It means that the gender fanatics attempt to control how people think is collapsing more and more.

Their latest TRA ploy is to call for a boycott of Twitch because it is showing Hogwarts Legacy adverts which again is going to fail and will further alienate people:

What makes this all more sweet is JKR is benefitting massively from this because TRAs are so bigoted and can't tolerate dissent. This is nothing to do with helping anyone "trans" this is just about "moral" purity. It is even more blatant now it has been revealed there is a "trans" charater in the game as well as there being no rules about whether you are a witch or wizard. Yes turns out a JKR based game doesn't care whether people call themselves witches or wizards or how they dress exactly as JKR states:
"Dress however you please.
Call yourself whatever you like."

Yes Hogwarts Legacy is more supportive of having an avatar which can gender non conform than most other games. Which makes sense because JKR doesn't care about that and the game reflects the universe she created.

The TRAs would never challenge the Call Of Duty franchise beloved by right wingers and where Activision the company behind it who have paid directly into Republican party coffers. No they only go after the game where a woman gets some of the profits, a woman who actively opposes the right and tried to stop Trump being elected in 2016.

If the TRAs hated the popularity of Hogwarts Legacy before it launched, they are really really going to hate how big it is going to be. They also can look forward Hogwarts {Rowling] Legacy 2 which their nonsense has helped make inevitable.

DC have told me it makes no difference and that you can't play as a team or whatever. Its a single player game.

Never underestimate the lengths gamers will go to in their hatred of someone, creating tools etc to harass people.

Once I posted something on Twitter that JKR said nothing, and I got sent a lot of private messages from someone going on about their whole trans life story. I couldn't be bothered to read them, and just goes to show how much time they have on their hands and how egotistical to think that anyone cares.

You have to remember that most of the vocal gamers are children or unemployed young males. Perhaps if they spent more time on their homework or had a job it'll be different. Just play the games, don't spend all the time moaning about the games.

It gets worse. They are trying so so hard to vilify the creators of this game. It’s kind of painful to watch.

They we’re trying to find very round about ways of making the name racist. Including butchering it so it says Siron Aryan.

For people who are the warriors of diversity LGBT+ people, women and POC they sure are good at finding bigotry where it does not exist. Perhaps it is because they are the true bigots?

I've realised that the desperation to find hidden meaning in the names reminds me of Monty Python's Holy Grail. "Why do witches burn? Because they're made of wood!" Same enthusiasm for pillorying women, which is nice.

You can also (so I've heard) link it to your wizarding world (previously called Pottermore) account and it will know which house you are in and which wand you have. But not your patronus.

Many of them are convinced JKR was behind the name (the developers said she hadn't been involved with the game so I highly doubt it), they don't like that "Sirona Ryan" has "Sir" at the start and also the surname "Ryan" is 'a man's name' despite being a reasonabky common surname. They're also suggesting that sironA RYAN proves the game is racist. Oh and they were complaining that trans character sounds 'like a man', many were convinced voiced by a "cis male" and has thin lips.

Sad little article in the Guardian today, just as we hoped they might be moving towards the light. Games reviewer expresses sorrow for JKR ‘s unrelenting dissing of the trans community and explains how this affects many trans, bi, Q and I peoples enjoyment of the Hogwarts game ( which rather raises the question of why play the game and pick at the scab if you know it is going to upset you) and goes so far as to list in a link all the mean and hurtful things JKR has said about trans people . Which when you read them are the exact same logical and reasonable things JKR has always said, ie that she knows trans people get a hard time , but sex is sex and having trans feelings doesn’t change your sex, women need safe spaces , oh and woman is a perfectly good word…….etc.
