And Sturgeon has really shot herself in the foot here (again). Because if she really thinks 'trans women are women', why is she not allowing this 'woman' to go to a female prison?

Step 2: Ok, dangerous men in situ in the women's estate and that's established.... now let's talk about how sad and awful and inhumane it is to keep them segregated and without social company or connection with other women which others them and discriminates against them, and shift that boundary away.

Step 3: No boundaries at all, all precautions abandoned.

Prisons are single sex institutions, AFAIK.

No-one can change sex.

They can call themselves whatever they want, and live their lives accordingly. He/She/They/female today/male tomorrow. I don’t care. But in any situation where facilities are for single sex, then you go with the sex you were when you were born.

They keep coming out with "We've spoken to umpteen trans people and they all said they knew long before they were 16" How many have they spoken to who thought they were trans before they were 16, but then grew out of it? Reporting on the World at One on BBC today was disgusting. Continually referred to the rapist as she/her. Turned my stomach. Utter gaslighting, victim disrespecting misogynistic bile. That a man is rapes is referred to as 'she',; that right there is view not worthy of respect in a democratic society.

Its really simple. All these politicians who are falling over themselves to now state a man who rapes should not be in a woman's prison just need to admit to themselves that TW are not W. Because, by saying he should NOT be in women's prison, they are acknowledging that they don't believe he is a woman.

It is impossible to reconcile a belief that TWAW with a position that this rapist should not be in women's prison.

Its that simple. Anyone who cannot acknowledge this to themselves does not have a position worthy of respect.

It could be clearly and unambiguously stated that he (and ideally all of the other men who claim to be women) will be housed with men, not women prisoners, even if the jail has a women's unit. There would be no need to specify which prison.

To add another slant, where should men who rape men be imprisoned?
Prisons are supposed to be separated by sex. Therefore any male prisoners should be held in a men's prison.

NS is disingenuous. No, a male claiming to be a woman does not have the right to be accommodated in the female estate, but as she well knows, it is SPS policy to accommodate such males according to their wishes - whether or not they have a GRC.

The poor women who have had to be the triggers for this all to happen. They are so brave to take it to court but to have this all over the news too must be upsetting.
