I understand why Willoughby is trying to hang onto the coattails of the ideology. They've fallen for it, hook, line and sinker. I do blame them, however, for going out of their way to fuck women over while they're doing it.

For the vast majority of my fairly long life, the pronouns people used to refer to a third party were based on sex (or at least perceived sex). I did not refer to my somewhat ‘masculine’ aunt as ‘he’, but as ‘she’. What you refer to as ‘misgendering’ is, to me, ‘correctly sexing’. A man can be feminine and he is still a man. A woman can be masculine and she is still a woman. ‘Misgendering’ is a nonsense in the English I have spoken for well over 60 years. Why do you require us to use language as you insist? Why should I be expected to mis-sex people because they think they are something they are not?
