Talking about threats, Graham Linehan threatened to drag a transwoman out the women's toilets by her boots a week ago. Not the first time he's threatened LGBT people.

Odd. I remember the name that was mentioned at the time (I won't post it here), and the fact that he had previously been up on a murder charge - though, strangely, the charge doesn't seem to have progressed to trial, at least not yet. So either it was a case of misidentification or, as you say, the police haven't looked very hard.

I agree all threats are wrong and should be condemned, but I would question if the "decapacitation" threat is credible? I mean, does that person really have a guillotine and are they really going to drag it all the way to Glasgow's Buchanan Street?

However a 6 and a half foot man threatening to enter a woman's toilets to drag a woman out by her boots IMO sounds like a very real and credible hate-motivated threat that should be taken seriously by police.

And when you get there you will see that there is no thread to LGBTQI+ people, but a very reasonable response to a man arrogantly queuing upp in a women's toilet, and that he is supporting the women complaining about him being there.

So I dont think that a man who is prepared to challenge another man who having the indecency to invade a woman's only service provision, is anything like a public encouragement to decap women who believe in women's sex based rights.

So if you were in the women's public toilets and a transwoman was also in there minding her own business, you would be happy if a man barged in to violently assault the transwoman?

I would be telling the man myself to get out. If another man then entered to assault the first man. I'd be telling him to fuck off as well

I think actual decapitation is unlikely, but that doesn't mean people will not be inspired to real violence because of a sign like that.

@IwantToRetire the reason for using the webarchive links is to show how the page looked at the time it was archived, which can be handy if someone does some surreptitious editing or takes the page down entirely later. With twitter it's also a way of seeing tweets that got deleted later because they were reported, or where the twitter user has blocked all and sundry.
