The benign interpretation is that he identified with (yes, the old use of the term!) the trans cause, given his possible negative experiences of how gays were/are treated, and because he didn't spend much time thinking it through (women tend to be invisible to a lot of people as something else than bit players, supporters, and resources), he is now tangled in the web he himself wove.

It reminds me of this rather unpleasant Evangelical woman I knew who was so angry at me for not giving god a chance, that she said she looked forward to the day when she could watch me burning in hell (she believed there would be viewing stations in heaven!) He's so gleefully looking forward to the holy day when we are all wailing and gnashing our teeth because the trans side has 'won'. (And...how can they possibly win? They want to be, to actually BE, women. This is impossible.)

Just look at his language...vindication, absolution. Our 'souls' are tainted, and we will forever regret being sinners. It's batshit.

Yes, I agree that's probably it. A whole bunch of gay friends who liked presenting as women.

He was not expecting the massive AGP lot to make it all so ridiculous.

That no-one knows what sex they are, but despite that, men are women and rapists need to be given incarcerated females, with a side helping of girl dick, you bigot.

I'd have more respect for him if he decided to analyse it appropriately. But now he's utterly caught up in the AGP lot, he's gotta keep getting those likes.

Crikey, I was stuck in a work situation, with a bloke like that. I told him I was looking forward to going to Hell, as I wouldn't have to spend eternity with a gang of loonies like him.

I look at the girls around me transitioning out of their adolescent struggles in a really rather pointless way that will probably get left behind as they grow older but with distressing physical damage, and the bravery of my friend who is holding her family together while her spouse comes out as nonbinary and blames her for getting married at all (pink hair is the new red sports car tbh) and I think Owen just hasn't a bloody clue. About any of it. About us or even himself.

I was married to two men who were too clever for therapy, and it was tiring tbh. I'd put OJ in that category.

And he's totally unaware of the cognitive dissonance or hypocrisy.

All he (and the entire TQ+ political lobby) need to do is to go through his speech and apply everything he says equally to biological women. That would make a hell of a lot of this go away overnight.

But that's the evil. That's the crime. Women refusing to be subordinated. (And we will lose. And we will burn for eternity. We will be damned for the suffering we've caused by not being raped and excluded naicely like good girls. The angels will weep for us.....and so on. A quick flick through Jane Eyre or a Magdalen laundries history book will give you the main gist of the message).

He’s always hidden behind his trace of a northern accent and sexuality, when IRL he had a very middle class upbringing and now lives in the London bubble surrounded by his trendy LGBTQIA middle class hipster mates.

We have a poundshop OJ at work, but straight - he can regularly be found on Facebook and Twitter, shouting down women and non-white people about how wrong they are on matters of disadvantage/discrimination/sexism. While his other middle class white male friends join in all ‘hope you’re okay, lots of bigots around today’ 😂
