I've seen some posts on Twitter from profiles claiming to be 'Trans-Age' i.e they identify with a different age...

IME most people identify with being a bit younger than they are; most of my friends are over 40 and some are over 70. We all feel about 30 or 40 years younger than we are.

My mum, the most sensible and well adjusted person, certainly felt her age once she got to her late 70s and began to get those horrid things like cataracts, weakness and stiffness, bad eyesight, bad joints etc, but she also said when she thinks of herself she still feels like she's a woman in their 30s. That's 'identifying as' isn't it?

I feel the same. I'm 65 with MS so a lot of those old age problems are already well set in, but I also feel like I'm a woman in my 30s. I would love to be 8 again and go back to school though, so perhaps I'd do better identifying as that.

@BlessedKali I've not read the full thread but haven't celebrities been doing this for years? They're constantly 29, 39, etc every year! One celebrity I was always 4 years younger than when I was in my 20's but now I'm apparently 2 years older than her!

I believe there was a Stonewall associated person who was into this, and whose father was too. Father is now in prison for a crime which has links to ABDL, IIRC.

Cross dressing in secret used to be a thrill. Once that wore off, going out in public and demanding that everyone accepted you as a woman was a thrill, going into women's spaces knowing you were making women feel uncomfortable was a thrill, but Nicola Sturgeon and friends are spoiling it all with their damned acceptance. These sort of people are always looking for the next way to shock, transgress boundaries, do something taboo. As each weird thrill is accepted and normalized they will push the boundary further. Surely at some point even the 'so open minded their brains fell out' brigade will wake up and realise this has gone too far!
