"It's not very good form to come into this existing feminist space and start attacking women who are a put out by a bunch of men suddenly arriving out of nowhere."
I understand that completely, but I haven't come to take over, hector, or lecture. I've come because I'm interested in this particular subject and the impact it's likely to have on my daughter.
In the previous place, I found out lots of things, which I hadn't really known about, such as very young schoolgirls being sexually harassed.
For me, these sorts of awful things have a vicarious impact, via my daughter.
I don't like bigots and bullies and I want to get some insights into how I can help prepare her for life, how to cope with bad things and how to be resilient.
That's all.
I've been looking at MN for a few years, for parenting tips, or following AIBU threads, which I often find entertaining.
I'm not trying to intrude, I've simply followed some internet comrades, who've been hounded out of a space, which I found in turns interesting, shocking and admirable.
