Hold on a moment, Wales has declared its intention to make itself the most welcoming and accepting country in Europe (possibly the world) when it comes to LGB and TQ+ people. It doesn't seem to have dawned on them how that's going to work when LGB people are same-sex attracted and TQ+ people are anti same-sex attraction, but then wee Nicola doesn't seem to have come up with a solution to that problem either.

I suggest the TQ+ all go to Scotland and Scotland sends its LGB people down to Wales and then perhaps we can all live happily ever after.

Just for the record some of us here, including me, are lesbian. We understand what's going on and the erasure of women's rights and we're very much not okay with it. And no one, including you, obtained our consent before attempting to erase lesbians as a category. Because once a single man has been accepted as a lesbian, the category lesbian (same-sex attracted women) no longer exists.

Blimey. I don’t agree with changes to the GRA, I think 16 is way too young to be messing with medical “gender changes” or whatever , and I think women are entitled to single sex spaces but…. You know when some people point at MN FWR and say “transphobic” and certain FWR members go all wide-eyed and say “ where? Show us the transphobic posts”…

I don't think wee Nicola cares that much about trans rights. Why would she have this obsession with one thing (apart from independence). But its a good way of try to destabilise the UK by trying to push contrasting laws in a boarderless country, where the impact on the rest of the UK would be significant. What better way to force the independence agenda. Nicola doesn't care about trans rights, she cares about independence, and will do what ever it takes to get there.

This is the problem when we mess with language and have words that have more than one meaning. For some a lesbian is same sex attracted for others it's same gender attracted. The word lesbian is taken and means same sex attraction of women, the adult human type. The word woman is also taken. Language does change but the meaning of these words will not. TQ need to find their own words or just make some up. They have been very good at making up words so it shouldn't be too difficult. There wouldn't be so much conflict if women's words and their meanings had not be colonised by men.
