Totally disagree as you don’t get to tell a lesbian who they are attracted to. The one lady that says she’s a lesbian and doesn’t agree with trans women fine that’s her opinion but I can tell you and show you other lesbians that are cool with trans people and even dating them to and still classify themselves as lesbian because life is complicated

I have to admit that I was starting to think along these lines - though Scotland already has a separate legal and education system to rest of UK.

Though here in Wales and in N.I education is also different - not sure about legal situation in N.I and Wales is increasingly going it's own way on many matters.

Life is complicated but sexuality is not. Lesbians don’t date males. Even those wearing a dress. A lesbian Is a female homosexual. To claim otherwise is extremely homophobic. As transwomen are male, no lesbian will date a male. But as you also have Males claiming they are lesbian, it’s no wonder you’re confused.

Many such posts are made and very quickly are screenshotted and circulated on Twitter by transactivists. Somehow, the activists always get the screenshots, even when Mumsnet delete them very quickly. An amazing coincidence that they are always on Mumsnet just at the right time, don’t you think?

I'm not convinced that Scotland's legal system can (legally) undermine the whole of UK law though. And this is what will happen if this goes through in Scotland. I don't know whether Westminster will challenge it, but I am convinced that Nicola's entire reasoning for this is nothing to do with trans rights, and everything to do with undermining the UK legal system to further her independence bid. Trans issues are just a vehicle to her achieving this. The more I think about it, the more convinced I am that this is what she's doing. It's quite ruthless really. But not surprising.

But lesbian has a specific meaning 'same sex attracted females'.

You can't redefine a word unilaterally. I could say I'm fit, or a giant or an olympic athlete. Saying something doesn't make it so, even if I truly believe it.
