Joe Rogan is actually uncancellable at this point (it’s been tried, he has lots of guests from all over the political spectrum so upsets everyone, although his own views are mostly sensible centre-left with a bit of covid vaccination skepticism, not unusual amongst world class sports types).
Jo is a bros bro sports type so his language might annoy feminists at times but he saw the issues with trans rights affecting women early due to Fallon Fox (transitioned male MMA fighter). He still seems to just about hang on to the ‘true trans’ narrative - he’s interviewed Blair White and Megan Murphy (twice). I reckon Joe would love Helen Joyce and Posie could probably haul him up to the top of the mountain on this issue, so to speak.
Joe’s platform is enormous. That Eddie clip has 1.5 million views.
I’ve not listened to Joe in a while, his episodes are often 3 plus hours long so good for road trips or while doing DIY/gardening etc. I should probably go to Spotify to see who he’s spoken to lately.
some people will say you can catch cooties from Rogan (he’s had multiple episodes with Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro and some of the covid vaccine skeptic docs) but he’s really talented at asking Everyman questions of a wide range of guests, from comedians to theoretical physicists.
he deffo doesn’t seem to like Eddie much. Might go back and see what the episode length is… it always seems a bit sus when they are shorter than 3 hours!
