Sussex Police claim gc views are 'hate' when women call a paedophile a man

Extraordinary exchange on Twitter.

'This is a man, committing sexual offences against children'

'Hi, Sussex Police do not tolerate any hateful comments towards their gender identity regardless of crimes committed. This is irrelevant to the crime that has been committed and investigated. Sussex Police'

'Sussex Police, I am exercising my gender critical views, which are protected in law. Can you advise whether making such statements is a crime?'

'Hi, you can familiarise yourself with what is regarding as hate on our website here: orlo.uk/k3sOL. If you have gender critical views you wish to express this can be done on other platforms or your own page, not targeted at an individual. Sussex Police'

Yes, Titania McGrath is definitely a satire account - its brilliant!

Yup, Titania McGrath is the alter ego of Andrew Doyle.

stillvicarinatutu · 28/09/2022 00:30

Me again .

Totally agree with you here . This is ridiculous.

Do we need to know the exact nature of his sex crimes and see if his penis was involved? I'd ask that . If his genitalia had any baring in his convictions then that's because he's a man with a penis . Or was .

This fuckery actually boils my piss and I'm a woman police constable.

This doesn't happen in my force - or at least hasn't yet .

BoredOfGrey22 · 28/09/2022 00:40

What can I do about this?
Who can I write to?
Is there a petition?

this is wrong on so many levels.

limitededitionbarbie · 28/09/2022 00:46

I am trying to explain this to my DH and he just doesn't get it.

I'm trying to explain Karen whyte, fallon fox etc. he just does not get it or believe it.

limitededitionbarbie · 28/09/2022 00:48

In his defence he is saying that just wouldn't happen.

But at the same time not believing me

I fucking despair.

FlowersBloomInAutumn · 28/09/2022 00:50

It is utterly wrong that any man is placed in a women's prison.

What is wrong with the current The Powers That Be, that they don't acknowledge this?

The UK Gaols Act 1823 - 1823!!, 200 years ago!!! - stated that female and male prisoners should be kept separated as well as requiring the installation of female wardens to guard female prisoners.

limitededitionbarbie · 28/09/2022 00:52

There are a couple of mumsnet ladies that need to run for parliament or whatever it is to do to get this heard properly.

Obv not me as I get too emotional about it all and I can't speak eloquently as sone can.

It makes me fucking sick we are in this position.

MsPincher · 28/09/2022 00:54

We should be able to accurately name a man as a man. That’s not a hate crime. Stating a biological man is a man (regardless of whether he wants to be, or feels like he is) is an objective fact and should not be censored. At all times but especially when discussing sexual violence.

Agree.

If we can't separate sex from gender well name the two.

Ie a biological male who refers to himself as female or something or other.

Let's be clear eh

FlowersBloomInAutumn · 28/09/2022 01:06

How in hell have UK establishments such as police forces, political parties, universities, schools, NHS, unions, etc. been convinced that any men can be women? How the fuck has this happened?

limitededitionbarbie · 28/09/2022 01:09

If he was on the run how would he be described? As a man or a women as that's very important

Soubriquet · 28/09/2022 01:14

Probably a woman unfortunately. Unless he decides to suddenly identify as a man to stay hidden

Elizabeth Fry will be spinning in her grave.
Its an absolutely appalling shit show.

stillvicarinatutu · 28/09/2022 01:27

I can see is having trans prison wings . Is that the answer?

Conservative government policy.

pink85 · 28/09/2022 02:06

I'm absolutely disgusted they would rather protect and defend the 'feelings' of a fucking pedo than women and his victims I'm...clown world. Sorry once you're a pedo I'm gonna call you exactly what I want you lose all your rights

Wildfloral · 28/09/2022 02:43

I'm honestly really scared. Does anyone else feel an overwhelming sense of dread at all this trans stuff?

It's so ridiculous. All the stuff trans people want us to say and think is crazy on so many levels. And they are such a tiny faction of our society, but they seem like they will be the ones to take us over the edge into 1984.

I just hope common sense will prevail and things can go back to normal.

I don't care how people dress or what they do in their private lives, but trying to force people not be shocked or surprised or to call you a woman or a man just because you think you are in your head, it's such a scary road to go down.

Why can't men be men with any degree of femininity or masculinity? And women be women, some more feminine, some more masculine? The issue, to me, is that the trans subset wants to recreate really strong gender stereotypes... which we've just spent 70 years breaking free from.

sashh · 28/09/2022 03:13

They have issued a statement

stillvicarinatutu · 28/09/2022 03:47

Someone backpeddled there then eh .

Good . At least people can express their opinions. Doesn't solve the issue of a man saying he's a woman being sent to a woman's prison. But at least people can say it .

I aren't sure what the answer is. I guess if they'd sent him to a man's prison looking like that he'd get lynched .
But a woman's orison isn't the right place either.

Sex offenders are segregated anyway . I think if this becomes a thing there will need to be separate wings for trans folk .

JustWaking · 28/09/2022 06:56

I guess if they'd sent him to a man's prison looking like that he'd get lynched

The obvious answer is to address male violence in male prisons. It isn't only trans prisoners who are at risk of violence in male prisons, it's also gay men, young men, men of some ethnicities. They deserve protection too.

It's such a nonsense "solution" to put a subset of the men at risk of violence - those who speak the right magic words - into women's prisons. WTAF? Those have been designated as women's prisons which should mean excluding all men for the safety of the female prisoners

The answer is to stop male violence against other males in prison. And house all male prisoners separately from female prisoners. Because biology.

Igneococcus · 28/09/2022 07:00

This might explain the back peddling or some of it:

"The home secretary condemned a police force last night that had warned social media users not to “misgender” a convicted paedophile who identified as a woman."

FunnyTalks · 28/09/2022 07:02

I think paedophiles and child killers in general are at risk in male prisons.

That's not a problem for women to sort out.

BadedasBubbles · 28/09/2022 07:12

To everyone who is horrified by the thought of males in female prisons please write to your MP. The Sex Matters organisation put me in touch with ‘Keep Prions Single Sex’ website and there is a template letter you can follow:
kpssinfo.org/write-to-your-mp/

EllieQ · 28/09/2022 07:23

Also being reported by the BBC:

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-sussex-63055024

According to this, the police have now stated the crimes were recorded as being committed by a man.

notdaddycool · 28/09/2022 07:26

Pity it takes the Home secretary’s involvement to make them stand up to their wide social media intern.
