Sussex Police claim gc views are 'hate' when women call a paedophile a man

ArabellaScott · 27/09/2022 14:52

Extraordinary exchange on Twitter.

'This is a man, committing sexual offences against children'

'Hi, Sussex Police do not tolerate any hateful comments towards their gender identity regardless of crimes committed. This is irrelevant to the crime that has been committed and investigated. Sussex Police'

'Sussex Police, I am exercising my gender critical views, which are protected in law. Can you advise whether making such statements is a crime?'

'Hi, you can familiarise yourself with what is regarding as hate on our website here: orlo.uk/k3sOL. If you have gender critical views you wish to express this can be done on other platforms or your own page, not targeted at an individual. Sussex Police'

Tara Hudson, who had at least nine convictions for assault, iirc, last seen suing the MoJ.

The BBC report said Hudson had had reconstructive surgery. No idea what that means: did they mean GRS? If so, not an intact male. Not that that should make any difference because Hudson was still male and had a 'worrying record of criminal offences' which included 8 offences including battery...

A reminder of how much optics count. If Hudson had looked like Karen White no one would have been out campaigning for him.

Weasel words, unfortunately, the “reconstructive surgery” turned out to be huge breasts.

Tara’s much-vaunted “seven inch surprise” was intact (this came to light as Tara worked as an escort).

Here's the page on the JR:

'the acknowledged negative impact on women was not perceived as significant enough to outweigh the desire of some male prisoners to share accommodation with women'

Woah so basically the woman who was sexually assaulted has less right to safety than the man has to getting himself validated?

Afghanistan here we come - they've put it in black and white, women are not equal citizens. Women's safety is less important than men's desires. It couldn't be plainer.

Tara's current Twitter bio: 'TS glamour model & content creator' - with a link to Tara's OnlyFans account.

'Don't put paedophiles in prison with mothers and babies' is pretty basic. Whatever your politics. Whatever your thoughts on gender.

I note none of the usual TRAs have popped up to support Sally so far.

Because not even the most ardent genderist can support paedophiles in women's prisons.

Agree 100%.

I'm surprised there aren't more TRAs saying 'not in our name'.

They told us this never happens, well it has. For people who purport to be literally women there's fuck all solidarity with the women (and their babies) in the prison this child rapist will be sent to. Very unwomanly in my opinion.

pattihews · 28/09/2022 11:05

Thank you for clarifying.

It’s so misleading, isn’t it?

Youre invited to conclude that “reconstructive surgery” means genital reconfiguration, but more often than not it’s about chests or breasts. Sometimes facial feminisation.

I don’t think our friend “Sally” has even bothered with that bit of misdirection. Things are even worse now than they were in 2015.

Nails it.

The desire of a male outweighs the lifetime emotional damage of suffering fear of and suffering experience of sexual assault.

Male supremacism. Plain and simple.

ArabellaScott · 28/09/2022 11:20

Yes, it's pretty blatant that males' feelings are placed above women's safety.

Undeniable, in fact. What astounds me is that the politicians supporting this just don't seem to think that's a problem. (Stand up Lisa Nandy et al).

My partner was like this a couple of years ago. To the extent that I had to stop talking about it as it caused massive rows. He has slowly come round now, but it’s small steps. I think part of the problem was that he kept saying , not all men, you hate men, blah blah. The media is doing a pretty good job now so I discuss it more.

Also "don't put pregnant women in prison" should be up there

I wholly agree, Sword, but I think that's a different argument!

Catching up on this thread today - thanks so much to everyone for posting and for giving voice to the outrage that we share. The case of Dixon is but the latest in decisions where dangerous male offenders have been allocated to the female estate.

Please write to your MP:

The MoJ policy that permits male prisoners to be held in the general population of the female estate alongside vulnerable women is still under review. This is the chance for the MoJ to put things right and to ensure that the sex-based rights of women in prison are upheld and that they are kept safe. It is ludicrous to believe that any amount of "careful risk assessment by a panel of experts" can keep women safe when male prisoners, who include those with intact genitalia and those convicted of the most serious violent and sexual offences, are given free association in the female estate.

Please have a look at our website, which is full of information and resources:

We will be at Tory Conference next week and will be addressing allocation decisions and the behaviour of Sussex Police with MPs. We will also be discussing opposite-sex strip searching, data collection and DBS checks/identity verification.

We will be at Battle of Ideas in London on the 16th October, where we have a stall.

We will also be at LGB Alliance Conference where, again, we have a stall.

With regret, we are not able to make it to FiLiA this year, despite earlier hoping that would be possible.

Last, but definitely never least, Kate will be speaking at the Holyrood Protest in Edinburgh.

WearyLady · 28/09/2022 12:38

What was the outcome of the Tara Hudson case against the government?

That's fantastic KPSS. Thank you!

It's so frustrating to know what to do, but those are brilliant resources.

It's utterly abhorrent that a serial paedophile who targets children and teenagers is being deliberately incarcerated with babies and teens, as part of his sentence.

So he can have himself validated!

Vulnerable women and children, who cannot escape, are being used to rubberstamp his desires.

Redatnight · 28/09/2022 13:02

Yes, but our legal and prison service can. That's the concern.

Trinity65 · 28/09/2022 13:13

RoseslnTheHospital · 27/09/2022 14:56

And the criminal in question does not have a GRC and so is legally male. Ridiculous and chilling that the police spend their time on social media defending peadophile criminals from statements of fact.

Thank you KPSS. My MP is pretty hopeless in a lot of ways but he's a Tory who doesn't believe people can change sex.

Someone backpeddled there then eh .

Good . At least people can express their opinions. Doesn't solve the issue of a man saying he's a woman being sent to a woman's prison. But at least people can say it .

I aren't sure what the answer is. I guess if they'd sent him to a man's prison looking like that he'd get lynched .
But a woman's orison isn't the right place either.

Sex offenders are segregated anyway . I think if this becomes a thing there will need to be separate wings for trans folk .

Whilst you are here @stillvicarinatutu can you just answer a question for me please?

The Police in Sussex and elsewhere seem to believe that there is a crime of misgendering, is there? In what Act was this made a crime and what is the prescribed punishment for it?

As far as I am aware and from my searching there is no such thing as a crime of misgendering on the Statute Books.

VestofAbsurdity · 28/09/2022 13:42

It appears they did, January 2018 seems to be the date.

RoyalCorgi · 28/09/2022 13:59

Brandon Lewis is the justice secretary and therefore the person who needs to be making a decision on this. A quick Google didn't turn up much about his views on this issue. However, in the government's position, looking at the disastrous impact of their fiscal policy, and the fact that Labour is 17 points ahead in the polls, I would want to use next week's party conference to attack Labour's weak points - and their desire to stick rapists in prison with vulnerable women is certainly one of them. So this is a great opportunity for Lewis to make his mark by ending this particular policy.
