I never understand the 'good character' nonsense. This man tried to groom a child and meet her to rape her. This is clear evidence of his extremely predatory and dangerous character. People don't groom and arrange to assault a child on a whim, it is not an opportunistic crime. It is a crime of planning and of many many layers of deceit. He is a dangerous, predatory man, that is obvious to any fool.

I'm a heterosexual female and just don't understand the concept of dick pics (handily I don't have a smart phone so no chance of receiving one). Are there many women who find them erotic? I think that showing good character overall can sometimes impact cases, and so lawyers just use it inevitably if they can to try and make the client look more plausible. It's up to the judge and jury whether they buy it in the particular instance.
