I'm so tired. They really don't get it or understand why women don't wanna share with men. The second we metaphorically and actually open our spaces for them to use too we're putting ourselves at risk but people like her care more about someones feelings being hurt than real women potentialy being attacked (and not necessarily by TW but by any man) because its okay for anyone to say they're whatever sex they want and we all have to grin and bear it. In the US, those 1-2% of sexual crimes committed women are overwhelmingly crimes where the woman is an accomplice to a male. Considering we have very similar sex ratios when looking at sexual crimes in the US (vs. gun crimes where we have FAR MORE than the UK), it's a pretty apples to apples comparison, so I imagine a lot of UK women in the 2% range are women committing a sex crime in league with a man.

Yes, that’s my understanding of it too, especially so if the victim is female and/or a child.

The majority of sex crimes that women are solely responsible for are the female teacher (or similar role) adolescent boy abusers.
It’s still sexual abuse and needs to be taken seriously (especially as the perp is in a position of trust) and it can be seriously detrimental to the victims in the medium and long term but it’s not happening in changing spaces and toilets so not relevant to this discussion. It would be relevant in terms of creating robust safeguarding frameworks in schools, but that’s a different thread.

This is what particularly worries me, unisex loos in school. I saw a debate on Twitter where someone had said that they didn't like unisex toilets with communal sinks because girls might be embarrassed to be washing blood off their hands when they have their period. So many people replied that it was great because it would let boys see the reality of periods, and the girls would be able to talk freely and it would remove the stigma and wouldn't that be great?

Well, no, it wouldn't, because what will happen is that some girls will either avoid school, or not use the toilets all day when they have their period.

They don't know much about teenage boys, do they? Fucking hell....

I haven't seen this in our new loos. Sanitary towels lying about is another matter. I feel women are marking their territory with used sanitary towels. Don't know about anyone else but I don't find used sanitary towels attractive to look at and every time I have been to the news loos I've seen this, seems weird to me.

@ancientgran - it is not necessarily “women marking their territory” with used sanitary towels lying around…. Some TW (not all, blah, blah) actual seek out (take out of sanpro bins) used pads/etc to role play with/put in their own pants/whatever else might make them happy….
^ This has been previously discussed on FWR, and is posted by some of the people involved on various social media - they have put it out in the public arena.

I find it hard to imagine there are that many TW in my small town who happen to go to the same loo as me and leave it like that. Maybe some of it is that.

It really does take all sorts doesn't it.
