I watched Allison Bailey's tribunal. Remembering that, it just struck me with renewed force how fucked up it is that they're trying to caricature her as buffoonish. The clown car worth of GCC witnesses almost universally made idiots of themselves, contradicting themselves and losing their temper and generally being a complete embarrassment to their profession, and of course the Stonewall witnesses are already legendary for all the wrong reasons. By contrast Allison maintained composure and dignity calmly and gracefully on the witness stand for nearly a week.

I didn't twig that it was racism at first, I just thought it didn't make any sense. But now I'm seeing it after understanding what tropes they're drawing from, and fucking hell these bastards make my skin crawl. Solidarity to Allison.

I think it's racism even among the ones who don't know what they're doing. There's a reason they're willing to attach this stereotype to someone who's got more competence and professionalism in her little finger than you could distill out of the entire staff of Stonewall put together.

Absolutely, DarkDay - and after being rushed to hospital at the start of the tribunal, too.

We know by now that personal attacks are inevitable when people lack a robust argument.

But I do think the vitriol and viciousness with which Allison is attacked on Twitter can only be fully explained by racism, misogyny and lesbophobia.
