Just a heads up the LGB Alliance are allotmenteering as Mermaids is challenging their charitable status. They need about 140 000 carrots, parsnips, beetroot, chard etc to fight this.

They've never done anything for LGB people. They're a group founded to campaign against trans people and nothing else.

Excellent comedy turn. I think the RNLI campaigns against trans people too. I mean, do they centre trans people? No. Definitely transphobic.

I have had a look on their website for campaigns that LGB Alliance have been heavily engaged in.

First one was EHRC action:

One of our first actions when LGB Alliance was formed was to start to engage with EHRC about the public confusion on issues relating to sex and gender identity, and the misrepresentation by some organisations of the specifics of the Equality Act 2010.

That guidance has now been issued.

Second one was Census action:

With a month to go until the census on March 21, campaigners have launched the Sex in the Census campaign to protest the last minute decision by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) not to ask people to answer accurately with their biological sex.

LGB Alliance was one of 15 small grassroots organisations in the coalition that delivered this as a success.

There are other campaigns that are still active and not finished.

The group seems to have had their voice heard in the Hate Crime Bill (Scotland), The GRA Reform consultation, and most recently ensuring LGB peoples rights are maintained in the 'End Conversion Therapy' bill.

Hardly a zero report card I must say.

Also, didn’t they help with understanding the questionnaire for the Conversion Therapy Ban consultation?

And held a national conference. About to set up a telephone hotline.

Please tell us more, Hearach. What exactly do Mermaids or Stonewall do for gay children, other than encourage them to think they are somehow in the wrong body? That doesn't seem like a helpful thing to tell a child, or any other vulnerable person. But perhaps you can explain it better?

We went an entire thread with some posters never acknowledging that the CEO of Stonewall said this in their capacity as a Stonewall senior spokesperson.

I doubt it will be acknowledged on this thread either.

But LGB Alliance will be written as a hate group based on no evidence given at all.

And we will continue to be told LGB Alliance has achieved nothing in the first years of being formed while also ignoring not one shred of evidence will be provided about comparative achievements by Stonewall in their first couple of years after formation.

The deep bias and prejudice is clear once you see it on other threads.

Is there a specific garden I should be digging in, or just the public one on the website?
