Chloe is a young woman testifying in Florida that her breasts were removed when she was 15 and she took "puberty blockers" when she was 13-16.

Do not transition your kids' is message from former trans girl, 17 www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11001029/Do-not-transition-kids-message-former-trans-girl-17.html?ito=native_share_article-top

She is actually only 17! I skim read and thought she was 18 or older to testify. Brave girl. She should sue the hell out of everyone that brainwashed her, I hope that includes Tumblr.

I haven’t got the stomach for this. I wish more British news sources were publishing these testimonies, not just the DM.

Ravenclawdropout · 11/07/2022 16:18

Unfortunately we know why that is @FrancescaContini

The Times is proving excellent on the overall issue but not so much from the perspective of personal experience.

MontanaMountains · 11/07/2022 16:21

Very sad for this young woman who has to live with the consequences of what the medical profession did to her when she was just a child.

Sue for what?carrying out a legal medical process with her consent?

Ravenclawdropout · 11/07/2022 16:25

What's so horrible is knowing after going this life changing trauma which she still can't know how will affect her long term health, she will be hated and ostracized and most likely receive death threats from the same people that encouraged her for years.

OP posts:
FrancescaContini · 11/07/2022 16:25

How any parent could administer testosterone injections to a 13 year old girl, and how any surgeon could perform a double mastectomy on a 15 year old girl for a non-medical purpose beggars belief.

I suppose under 18's can't give informed consent; but yes, I see your point.
We're told these people will kill themselves if their every demand isn't instantly catered for, and any psychological evaluation is conversion therapy and akin to wishing them dead.
Then you get a shitshow like this 🤷🏻‍♀️

caringcarer · 11/07/2022 16:31

There are so many of similar tales. I taught a student who bound her breast and took puberty blockers at school. I saw her a few years later and she told me she met her partner before having testosterone and they had a baby together and she is very happy but if she had not met partner when she did she would have pushed for testosterone. She never had any friends at school and I think she saw it as a way to be popular and more accepted.

Ravenclawdropout · 11/07/2022 16:31

@beautyisthefaceisee she still isn't even a legal adult! We don't let undet 18s get a tattoo, vote, marry or do something many other things because we understand they are immature and can't comprehend the consequences of their actions. Ita also to protect children from unscrupulous adults.

The biggest "transition" we make in life is turning from a child into a fully fledged adult with self understanding. Most of us don't really get there until our mid 20s. A 15 yr old cannot possibly understand what it will mean for her long term to have her breasts cut off. The "puberty blockers" are also extremely toxic and dangerous drugs and we have no idea what they will do long term to a growing mind and body.

No, no one is actually saying anything like that. That's a very flippant and biased way of looking at It.

I never said I agreed with it, but its perfectly legal and she doesnt have a leg to stand on.

beautyisthefaceisee · 11/07/2022 16:34

It used to be that to get modification you had to 'live' as the opposite sector a certain amount of time.

Now, it's hardto do that, because of all tbe barriers the other side have put k their way.

That leads to desperation

Sad, really, but until he other side recognise their role, it will keep happening.
I think de transjtjonjng will become more common because they arent allowed to think ans have space to breathe and get hammered in society and online, people will take drastic measures and then regret.

They can have sex at 16.

Ravenclawdropout · 11/07/2022 16:37

"I never said I agreed with it, but its perfectly legal and she doesnt have a leg to stand on."

@beautyisthefaceisee your total lack of empathy and compassion for a young teen who was a lonely girl looking for belonging and acceptance by her peers (like so many teens) is disturbing. You are extremely dismissive of her suffering. There is NO WAY a 15 yr old can fully consent to having her breasts removed. Most 15 yr olds haven't even had and are in fact much too young for a meaningful romantic relationship.

OP posts:
Ravenclawdropout · 11/07/2022 16:40

Not where I live they can't. And having sex is not a permanent state. We wouldn't accept anyone cutting off their fingers or any other body part under 18. We wouldn't say "oh well you choose it, too bad, live with it".

Are you saying, Beauty, that transitioners are rushing into it because of opposition to males in female facilities?

I remain opposed to transitioned males in female facilities, for what it's worth, because of the effect on the female users of those facilities; but before you blame concerned women, you need to establish whether that is actually a driving factor.

Are there more rushed transitions where people are, or are not, encouraged to use opposite-sex facilities? Is anyone collecting the stats?

JuneJustRains · 11/07/2022 16:42

What has 'they can have sex at 16' got to do with it? In this country, yes, but not universally, and the post you were commenting on didn't mention sex.

How do you live as the opposite sex? Explain how a man can live as a woman or a woman can live as a man.

The reason these children end up having these physical interventions before they're old enough to fully understand the consequences is because the trans lobby has pushed for affirmation only, and exploring other reasons why a child might identify as transgender is labelled 'conversion therapy'.

Organisations like Mermaids need to acknowledge their part in pushing these children into having medical treatment that they may later regret.

My Dd is in Scotland. I had a call from School to say that she 'wants to be a boy so they are changing his name on the Register - this is a courtesy call only - we have checked his age against 'the list' & he is old enough to decide for himself'.
I pointed out that my child has Autism & selective mutism & is trying to make friends in a new school & found the LGBT++ club a friendly place for lunch ...
Scary that my child was 'outed' like this - I am supportive of my child thinking around who she is but many parents would not be. However, when I say 'supportive' I mean I am fine with her being Gay (she told me at Christmas) & fine to go on a Pride march with her, but Not Fine At All re breast binding / puberty blockers / surgery. But the Scottish Govt stance on this is terrifying (age 16 here)

It's the NHS who came up with that rule originally. The idea being that young people would have that appearance for a period of time before making the permanent decision.

Trans people cant win here. If they dont transition, they're men trying to break into womens bathrooms, if they do transition they're wrong ans ruining their bodies, if they have mental health issues that's denied, . The other side will nor ne happy until trans is eradicated and that is wrong. They also need to acknowledge the damage they are doing with their opinions.

Not in scotland (or shouldn't be)

We can refer to them by their chosen name but not officially, on the register, or on any paperwork.

We have one transitioned who doenst hahe parental approval - all their exams were sat in their dead name.

No, not specifically. I am saying that as above, the barriers we place in their way makes transition more likely.l (and appealing).

No, but I think sex is a pretty big deal for a person and their body. So I'm not sure why they should he able to have sex but not make decisions about their own appearance.

Whatiswrongwithmyknee · 11/07/2022 16:48

I don't believe a child can really give consent to these procedures. I also don't belive that the powerful lobby organisations give a shit about their wellbeing as it's not inevitable to feel like your body dictates your identity. I believe she was abused by gender ideology.
