Trial started today.

I don’t know where to start with this:

“Ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £190”. Who was the victim, the cat or the poor residents who had to witness him in his ill-chosen outfit in the dead of night?

Who would the victims if blackface be?

Perhaps a small handful every now and then but I personally in 50-odd years of living on God’s green earth have not ever come across any woman dressed in this way.

Liz Mcdonald?

I’m so glad I’m a dinosaur. No heel wearing or skirts for me behind the wheel in Wales...just big claws and humongous legs to fit behind the wheel!

The residents of the village around the telegraph ( why do we still call it that?) pole were without internet access for several days as a result of this crash.

So not a victimless crime.

it’s worth having a look at previous appearances in the media, including the one with the website for helping younger people fund their studies by being pleasant to older people, and the complaints of the local council at his non attendance at meetings when an elected councillor.

TooBigForMyBoots · 11/07/2022 16:29

Does anyone think he should resign? I do.

Does anyone think he should resign? I do.

Not really, I expect his constituents could do with another belly-laugh. I know I could

TammyOne · 11/07/2022 16:40

So a Tory MP was driving likely pissed and crashed into a telegraph pole before running away? Yeah that is really shit behaviour and he should probably get sacked, but I don't really see how the way he was dressed is relevant?
And seriously, loads of women wear mini skirts and high heels! I can't quite believe people are saying they have never seen a woman dressed like that, where do you live?? I mean, I know heels and minis are out of fashion but they haven't always been.

donquixotedelamancha · 11/07/2022 16:47

think I'm womaning wrong too. I had known idea that you can just leg it from ploughing your car into the lamp-post?

You have to have enough Butler Victim points for that. Being an old fashioned woman isn't enough. You could get them by self-identifying as any two from: Trans, indigenous, disabled, Billy Bragg, suffering PTSD, black and many more.

achillestoes · 11/07/2022 17:12

Yes, he should resign.

mm40 · 11/07/2022 17:16

Jacket potatoes and tuna mayo tonight then. Yum yum

BreadInCaptivity · 11/07/2022 14:51

Q: How do you hide an elephant in a cherry tree?

A: You paint it's toenails red.

That is not the version i know (and tell people)

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 11/07/2022 17:28

FourTeaFallOut · 11/07/2022 15:13

Because you can be charged with careless driving if wearing high heels is considered a contributory factory in causing the crash.

Yes

exactly what i just read

BlueMumDays · 11/07/2022 17:28

I can totally see that someone in the public eye might panic at the thought of being "outed" as gender non-conforming in this situation. I don't believe TWAW, but I do believe people should be allowed to wear whatever they want (well, a leather miniskirt wouldn't really be appropriate on anyone in Westminster. But in their own time, whatever)

But I can also totally see that someone could use this as an excuse if they were in fact under the influence and unfit to drive.....

MarshaMelrose · 11/07/2022 17:36

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 11/07/2022 17:28

Yes

There's nothing in the highway code about not wearing high heel shoes, flip flops or even bare feet.
And in this case the high heels were not considered a contributory factor so your comment and the comments of others about wearing high heels are irrelevant.

An even darker story about Jamie Wallis

Is no one else getting I Want to Break Freeeee vibes?

Poor Jamie. On the way to a singalongaBohemian Rhapsody screening and this happens.

TooBigForMyBoots · 11/07/2022 18:07

He didn't say he was afraid of veing outed. He said he was afraid he'd be raped.Confused

Autogynephilia (derived from Greek for 'love of oneself as a woman') is the term Blanchard coined for "a male's propensity to be sexually aroused by the thought of himself as a female", intending for the term to refer to "the full gamut of erotically arousing cross-gender behaviors and fantasies".

Is his outfit what he thinks a woman wears? I mean, there must be some who wear that sort of outfit.

A secretary in a porn film?

BreadInCaptivity · 11/07/2022 18:14

Can you elaborate Rufus?

LostMyUserName · 11/07/2022 18:15

@wantmorenow thanks for sharing. There’s a lot of murkiness that lies beneath.

mumda · 11/07/2022 18:18

So do women get better car insurance rates?

Headbandheart · 11/07/2022 18:26

I think the bit that gets me most is that after running off he rang his dad and his dad picked him up. If I’d been dad I’d have told him to call the bloody police and stop being a dickhead (or whatever the trans equiv is).
why is the dad not being prosecuted for interfering with law or whatever it is.
plus why the hell does a grown man who is MP run to dad when the shit hits the fan. Plus who the hell has enough money to plough their expensive car into a pole and then run off and leave it.

reaks to me of Tory Wealthy male entitlement. Again

TooBigForMyBoots · 11/07/2022 14:07

I feel gutted for any GC person in Bridgend who held their nose and voted Tory on the basis that "at least the Conservatives know what a woman is".🙄

Me too. It's a travesty. None of the political parties seem to be any good at vetting candidates for skeletons in cupboards these days even when it is so much easier to do with the internet and social media.
