I can see her comms team in a frantic circle trying to devise something that has a bob each way that will put this pesky little issue to bed. Apparently there are biological women and legal women. Never once does she say whether legal women (ie men identifying as women) should access women’s spaces.

Apparently she instigated the reviews into children’s gender clinics. The review results have never been published and she studiously ignored attempts to get her to cough them up.

She hasn’t changed her mind. Her thread explains why biology can make someone a woman. She also thinks there are other types of women (legal women, women by ‘gender identity’), and she also thinks a biological woman can be a man.

I'm confused as from that thread she seems to have stood up for women in sports and launched an enquiry into the x4000 % rise in girls seeking sex changes, defended the use of sex specific language in health care and stood up for Kathleen stock. And also experienced the degrading sexism of being put in the papers in a swim suit because she's a woman.

All she’s clarified for me in that series of tweets is that she sees the tide may be turning and wants to remain vague enough to appeal to the many people who don’t have a real grasp on this issue (who don’t understand it aren’t aware that the majority of transwomen keep their penis, self ID, using our single sex spaces, etc), while keeping a foot in both camps - hence why she’s stated there are biological woman and ‘legal women’.

i Was so disappointed with her historic TWAW rhetoric, so her recent Twitter post is interesting and brings me a bit of hope. However I need to know her opinion on self ID and safe spaces, woman's sports clarified. There’s a huge gap between transwomen with a GRC and every Tom Dick and Harry self identifying as Tanya, Dalia or Harriette.

She's certainly realised treating women like fools isn't a vote winner! She hasn't said anything substantive at all in that thread. We still don't know her view on males in women's prisons, shelters, sports or her view on self id, or when the results of her mythical enquiry into teen teen transitioning will come out. She's said enough to piss off Pink News but not enough to appease women.
