"Trans activists have hounded Nadhim Zahawi off a Russell Group campus, accusing him of “inciting hatred” by defining women as “adult human females”, The Telegraph can reveal.

The Education Secretary was met with dozens of student protesters chanting “Zahawi is a transphobe” and “Tory scum” while visiting the University of Warwick on Friday.

The Cabinet minister had to be ushered away from campus by security guards in dramatic scenes, as he was pursued by activists brandishing trans flags and placards."

I don't mean insist the kids have the same views (futile) but that the kids don't get to moderate the parents' views - especially at work ffs. What is Cooper playing at
Or heaven forbid, she's a woman with her own mind and opinions!
But no, she must be being told to think that way, brainwashed or too scared to say what she really thinks 🙄

Imo there’s a generation of left leaning celebrities and as we can see now politicians in their 50’s being held to ransom on various issues by their late teen and twenty something kids. For me this does explain Yvette recent comments in this subject and is disappointing as I like her.
as another pp said adult children should not be affecting the way politicians think and behave at work when it comes to matters of public policy. that’s pretty outrageous imo.

She might just share the same views of her kids, that would make sense seeing as she is the parent and they grow up with her values etc.
But no, it's the kids fault for holding her to ransom 😕
I'm in my 40s, agree with her and I aren't told what to think by anybody.

Tory minister in trouble for speaking the truth. Well that's a shock!

Grin

Truth is stranger than fiction, in this case.

Was one of the ‘leaders’ really Ed balls/Yvette cooper’s kiddo?

"Power to the People!"

I'll bet if the kid was a raving racist, or embracing any other form of prejudice, mummy and daddy wouldn't be obediently being a mouthpiece for it to keep little Tarquin happy.

I am getting so tired of apparently intelligent adults pretending that some forms of prejudice are a-okay so long as it's the right prejudice and only addressed to the Not Me Or My Mates people.

Artichokeleaves · 02/06/2022 12:57

And I do mean actual prejudice. You know, as in 'that group are evil, should be raped, die in fires, punched, not allowed services or access like the right kind of people have, should be forced to be More Like Us because yuck' as opposed to the 'says no to me!!!!' kind of 'prejudice.

Well after reading this article in the Spectator nothing surprises me about student groups especially those affiliated with the NUS www.spectator.co.uk/article/the-uk-is-right-to-sever-ties-with-the-poisonous-nus
