"Trans activists have hounded Nadhim Zahawi off a Russell Group campus, accusing him of “inciting hatred” by defining women as “adult human females”, The Telegraph can reveal.

The Education Secretary was met with dozens of student protesters chanting “Zahawi is a transphobe” and “Tory scum” while visiting the University of Warwick on Friday.

The Cabinet minister had to be ushered away from campus by security guards in dramatic scenes, as he was pursued by activists brandishing trans flags and placards."

Well the lad is the spitting image of Ed Balls, so I’m guessing it is their son.

To be fair, Zahawi might not be naming him as it could result in a Twitter pile on. Or because he doesn't want to give him the publicity. Or because he finds him an irrelevance but one he's happy to refer to in an abstract yet cordial way.

How is saying something true- that a particular person is there and did so-and-so - stirring?

The fact that Labour are so extreme in position on this subject, the fact that his mother would not answer a straight question on the subject, and him being so committed to the cause of trans activism that he went to heckle an invited guest at another student group's meeting is all very relevant to any voter in the UK - the issues are connected. I assume Joel is not a member of the Conservatives Students group at Warwick but he was taking it upon himself to interfere and was part of a cohort that were trying to make hearing the minister difficult (playing music etc as well as heckling) and therefore interfering the freedom of the group to invite a speaker and the freedom of speaker to be heard.

Nadhim Zahawi was very polite about it. And Joel may have been polite in the phrasing of his question but the whole effect of his and his friends behaviour is part of the chilling effect. And one of the group did seem to punch someone. The protestors were out of order.

I am glad Guido pointed it out that he was involved. Maybe his carpet route to a 6 figure salary post university (like many ex-ministers sons) may be less smooth.

Ahh, this clarifies it, thanks! It's a person of any or no or fluid sex and/or gender who is solely attracted - on a sexual and/or romantic basis - to non-men*.

No reason to think so that I can see and the terrorists published their intent. Trying to silence people like this is normal behaviour now for certain groups. It probably happens most weeks.

Either the person speaking is 100% in agree with TRA rules or he is an enemy with no right to speak or be on their gang's territory.

I do wonder how many of the females involved in this with their "no debate, shut up! You don't get an opinion you #£%& (four letter word beginning with t that I don't want to utter) get all upset and righteous about how horrible it is that women have been raped as part of the war in Ukraine, and women have been stopped from getting an education and forced back into burkas due to the will of men?

I wonder if they agree with both sets of those women bring told that there's no debate, to shut up and that they are not entitled to an opinion? Or would they just get angry that I just dared to compare them to the oppressors?
