Dylan, currently on 'Day 47 of being a girl' claims Tampax have been in touch.

www.instagram.com/p/CbiQWjUpXXd/

Why?

'Dylan was using a public restroom when a fellow woman called out if she had a tampon, Dylan shyly replying ‘no’.
Afterwards, she decided to buy some to keep in the house and in her purse for all her girlfriends, ending the video with “women support women.” It seemed that Tampax were quite interested in working with Dylan afterwards. What an incredible outcome!'

Wow, if all that happened on day 47 imagine what changes Dylan will be making to girlworld by , say 365 when Dylan will have done a whole year ( excited hand clapping and squeal) of being a real live girl. One thing I think will happen is that Dylan will no longer be shy and retiring in womens toilets. Oh no, Dylan will be definitely have discovered and be using their big voice, you know, the one Dylan used to use when they were erm Dylan…….

anyone for a sleepover pillow fight?

Bewaldeth · 28/04/2022 19:22

Me neither and I had more than 40 years of menstruating. The only time someone very quietly asked (not called out) was my sister in my house, not in public to a stranger.

What are the phrases? Did ye, aye? Chinny reckon Grin

If it did happen, the woman asking must have been pretty startled to hear a male voice respond from the next stall.

Chaoslatte · 28/04/2022 19:25

A friend at work once asked me for a pad but I only had a tampon which she declined. I wonder if Dylan’s head would be able to get around that.

3peassuit · 28/04/2022 19:25

I’ve never asked for a tampon nor have I been asked for one. I suspect this didn’t happen.

mumwon · 28/04/2022 19:25

40 years of menstruating plus decade of menopause + post m (& being post menopause means I use loos even more frequently) & I have lived in shared female only accommodation with loo blocks & I have never been asked or asked anyone else for tampons or sts. Loo paper/tissues or the handy makeup purse containing essentials in my handbag since age 13 (not same one obviously!) I have helped holding babies, pushchairs & taking young dd of men who didn't want to go into loos - but never been asked for sanitary products.

When will Dylan move from girlhood to being a woman? Why always a girl?

Franklin12 · 28/04/2022 19:27

Will this never end.

Had to comment simply to say that I've actually been asked a couple of times, usually on a night out 😂maybe I look like some kind of Mary Poppins...never have one though because I use a cup!

No way I'd buy some just to give to randomers either, unless I was planning to brag about it on social media 😏

Yes, good question. What age is this 'girl'?

My old department was mainly staffed by women. I was there for seven years and I think I was asked twice if I had any pads/tampons. It wasn't a jolly calling-out, either, it was one colleague sidling up to another and quietly asking.

I've been using public toilets for the best part of 50 years and can count on the thumbs of one foot the number of times anyone has gaily asked for a tampon.

So I very much doubt that Tampax wants to work with Dylan... and if they did I would think their brains had literally fallen out.

Commenter here says her son has been carrying tampons for girls 'since sixth grade' (Idk what that is).

I have NEVER met a man who carries tampons and I WOULD NOT be grateful to have a random bloke whip one out to offer it. FYI, lads.

I recognise the self publicising bell end.

there is no way Dylan would ever be mistaken for someone who needs san pro.

PollyDarton2 · 28/04/2022 19:39

Don’t we all have a random old tampon in the bottom of our bags? I have probably had a total of five periods in the last 15 years and yet still seem to find them everywhere. They live next door to the broken hairbands and dog pooh bags.

I dunno, I've just looked at Dylan's Instagram and she's kind of joyous; I'm finding it hard to hate on this, really.

Tbh Dylan seems like an alright person at face value - upbeat and clearly liked by their fans, but they're using female experiences of pain as validation for their gender identity.

A woman being so desperate for a tampon that she asks a fella for a tampon is not good. I'm more annoyed at the corporations buying into this and using them as a face for tampons, than the individual.

I assumed that was a pisstake.

Have just had a look through Dylans account - I'm pretty sure it's a spoof account isn't it?

6th grade is the same as year 7 in England ie 1st year of secondary school.

Any boy carrying around menstrual products in case his female friends ask him for them is creepy as fuck.

I think so yes

Nickwinkle · 28/04/2022 19:47

Does anyone else find it mildly offensive that by 'being a woman' or 'being a girl' all it seems to involve is wearing dresses and looking pretty? I'd like to think there's more to women then just looking aesthetically pleasing 🤨

Also, never been asked for a tampon.

derob · 28/04/2022 19:48

I'm not sure Dylan's view of womanhood is very comprehensive. Or realistic www.instagram.com/reel/CbBCPSmDhEM/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

But what do I know, eh ladies? I'm just a silly ditsy girl 🙄

Lynnthesearesexnotgenderpeople · 28/04/2022 19:53

Wait, have just had a bit of a more in depth look. I don't....I don't think it's a spoof account!

If that is real it is soooooo offensive to women! Shock

ChiefWiggumsBoy · 28/04/2022 19:57

Ugh, I've seen this particular person on TikTok. The delusion that after a month or so on oestrogen that he passes so well that women in the toilets would ask for sanitaryware only bolstered by the handmaidens telling them how gorgeous they look Hmm
