I would say that not getting a peerage or a Commons pass matters very much to John Bercow. OJ has deliberately encouraged pile ons against so many people women knowing that those he is complaining about have far fewer followers willing to take a stand against him but I do think his behaviour will catch up with him eventually.

Yes - unless Jolyon is accusing Private Eye of making up the story, he should turn his ire on the independent investigator who found LOJ guilty of bullying. Private Eye is simply reporting the facts.

He is very quiet on Twitter today. I wonder if he is realising that the game is probably up for him acting in this way? He wrote a big long thread the other day about the spat with Suzanne Moore and how none of it was his fault obviously, and clearly no one gives a fuck! So how is he going to get out of this? What else can he do? No one is going to buy another long Twitter thread about how everyone apart from him is such a big meanie, but he doesn't really have that many outlets does he? He can do a podcast on it - hardly anyone watches the ones he does do, considering he has 1 million followers. He can hardly write a Guardian piece on it!
