I'm not sure it would hold much water in a libel case that a generic accusation of "bullying" was defamatory when it is accepted that he drove harassment against and intimidated female colleagues.

So happy to see this story. Intimidation and harassment are much more serious than bullying so he would have no chance of actually suing Private Eye ( I love them). Ian Hislop doesn’t give a monkeys he knows Owen can’t sue him.

I’m sure Private Eye will be happy to clarify that ‘bullying’ isn’t the case and ‘driving harassment’ and ‘intimidation’ are. Knowing them, they will do so repeatedly

I find it quite hilarious how OJ seems to live rent-free in so many people's heads. Unless you know him personnally, you have no idea if he is a bully or not. He stands up for trans rights ( topic i confess i do not know nearly enough about much less understand) Why would you say he hates women? He has a twin sister and a mother that im pretty sure he doesnt hate. It could be said that there are many on here that hate men. I honestly dont get it. Live and let live. Actually, you've declared that you know little and understand less about the topic so I wonder if you might reconsider your stance given that admission.

How very pomo of you to consider equivalence of opinions given your lack of both familiarity and knowledge. You could, of course, choose to share your reckon.

However, given your sympathy and framing of "relentless pile on" v. that experienced by women such as Sharron Davies, Maya Forstater etc. it seems that you do consider yourself to have a horse in the race and prize the knowledge/understanding that you do have and weight it in the favour of OJ. I'm sure that he will treasure the full value of it.

To be fair, I can understand why some people who haven't attempted to understand a topic might consider that misogynists spring fully-formed from the head of another misogynist with no women involved.

If you had that level of understanding then it might seem self-evident that the existence of women in the family would be QED as evidence against misogyny.

NB: to clear all all doubt, I'd still attend a dentist rather than a toothiologist.

He’s vile. He thinks a trace of a Northern accent is enough to undo his very privileged, middle class white upbringing and propel him to ‘man-of-the-people’ status. He is a horrific misogynist whose faux-concern for women and people of colour only pops out when he needs them as canon fodder in his war against the right wing. His only genuine concern in life seems to be ensuring trans ‘women’ have unfettered access to female only spaces regardless of the consequences.
