'A naturally occurring organic type' Grin

Mind warped by patriarchy! Ha!

Lynnthesearesexnotgenderpeople · 07/04/2022 10:36

Can you imagine this conversation on the radio 2 or 3 years ago?!

Bobnotpop · 07/04/2022 10:36

I love Emma saying “(she put it ) cis gender’.

Clymene · 07/04/2022 10:36

Grace is making the point again that gender critical views are shaped by patriarchy. This is such a batshit argument.

Lynnthesearesexnotgenderpeople · 07/04/2022 10:36

Did Grace say earlier that women are basically just a pair of ties?!

Lynnthesearesexnotgenderpeople · 07/04/2022 10:37

Tits, not ties!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/04/2022 10:37

'There are those who will believe that you will never fully become a woman'

Grin those meanies.

The notion that there is a natural organic type called “female person” is a novelty, apparently.

DomesticatedZombie · 07/04/2022 10:38

Please to be the naturally occurring organic type of woman.

A profound historical novelty? Fuck off, mate. You cheeky revisionist bullshitter.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/04/2022 10:38

I hope Helen Joyce is listening to this!

DomesticatedZombie · 07/04/2022 10:38

'how can you say that with such surety'

God give me the confidence, etc ...

LittleSnakes · 07/04/2022 10:38

Looolllllll!!!!

WinterTrees · 07/04/2022 10:38

Oh jesus... my head just exploded at the Caitlyn Jenner bit.

And now the sex-based rights BULLSHIT.

It was funny and now I'm getting angry.

As is Emma.

Clymene · 07/04/2022 10:38

@ginghamstarfish

I've been half listening to this, don't know who the interviewee is, but what a load of bollocks, doesn't seem to believe in biology or science so not sure why the public might be interested in his views. The interviewer is crap too, and poor at challenging him. She's asking the right questions but that's all.
Oh it's quite deliberate. Hoist by their own petard I believe the phrase is.
tabbycatstripy · 07/04/2022 10:39

Go Emma. Go Emma. Go Emma.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/04/2022 10:39

It would be great if Lavery could definitively peak Emma.

Threadbaretoe · 07/04/2022 10:39

around 91% of males and 88% of women can conceive during their fertile years. No fertility issues come from not knowing one's role in reproduction. How is which role one plays an idea of patriarchy?

Clymene · 07/04/2022 10:39

Go Emma!!

Oh fuck off Grace. We see you

DomesticatedZombie · 07/04/2022 10:39

'if you don't want a world where the borders of what it is to be a woman are policed why are you trying to police the border of what it is to be a feminist?'

Lynnthesearesexnotgenderpeople · 07/04/2022 10:40

Who said radio is the perfect medium for this? A male mansplaining what feminism is and what rights women should be fighting for! On Women's Hour!

Appalonia · 07/04/2022 10:40

This person is making no sense at all!

tabbycatstripy · 07/04/2022 10:40

“I don’t think there are any grounds on which the state should make a judgment about whether a person is a man or a woman.”

Well we do. So there.

About 20 minutes in?

DomesticatedZombie · 07/04/2022 10:41

'it’s possible to get by without the govt licensing womanhoood or licensing manhoood'
