The Mail reporting that British cycling have recognised their policy is unfair to women and Emily won't be allowed to compete. They even talk about women in their letter (faints)

It's almost like the policies were written with no thought to the impact on female competitors. Oh wait that's exactly what happened !

CaveMum · 08/04/2022 13:03

The BBC initially framed this as “transgender athletes banned” in their reporting but have since reworded it to say “transwomen not allowed in female elite competition”.

Interesting change in wording.

Hurrah!!!!

Transwomen not allowed in female elite competition.

Hurrah!!

Now can we please see some brave transwomen show up as their authentic selves in male spaces. I would support and cheer louder than anyone.

(And could we extend that to all female competition.. because if we loose girls and women from grass root sport, we will not have an elite women's competition to fight for.)

Indeed. Moi aussi Margaux. Because that really would be stunning and brave.

Yes yes. Emily Bridges - feminists 110% support you continuing to compete in cycling, in the same category that you always have done. Widen the bandwidth. Go on!
