MP comes out as transgender

A male Tory MP has released a statement on Twitter that they are transgender, and also that a couple of years ago they were raped.
It's a brave statement.

It is almost like they can tell the difference.

So let me get this straight: he co-owned a prostitution website, ran a number of dodgy companies, crashed his car endangering life and limb and is now using the trans thing as a handy dead cat.

Given that it was Jess Philips, from Ed's own party, who highlighted the 'sugar daddy' website for 'boys and girls' to sell themselves sexually to older rich men, and called for this MP to be suspended. he must be aware of that surely?

He’s clearly got issues and doesn’t seem fit to be an MP regardless of pronouns. I hope he gets help.

It’s unsurprising Boris praised him but mocks Keira’s stance on trans issues.

It's very brave to speak out. A large percentage of grass roots conservatives will not be on his side. Yes the situation is complicated, but rape is rape, and ptsd is real, sounds like he was alluding to being reckless/suicidal. Do I approve of his business dealings, no, but they are legal and he was voted for, his constituency obviously looked passed them

Makes me nostalgic for the days when dodgy MPs used to find god. This is the type that I think of as Tabula Rasa Trans; everything I did before was because I didn't want to be a man; everything I did before can be forgotten because I am now a woman; everyone who judges me now is motivated by hate.

I'm guessing someone who made money out of a sugar daddy website has a very specific, degrading, sexualized view of what a woman is.

"Tabula Rasa Trans" is such a good way of putting it. This seems to apply to many people identifying as trans. In some cases more genuine than others - unable to cope with internal trauma or trauma they have inflicted on others and now recognise and need to dissociate from. In some cases less so, following a criminal conviction.

According to The Guardian:

“ Wallis said there had been a “close call” where their trans identity had nearly been made public in April 2020 by a blackmailer who sent photographs to family members.

“The blackmailer demanded £50,000 to keep quiet, Wallis said, but after the police got involved, the perpetrator pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years and nine months in prison.”

So presumably the blackmail was predicated on the MP’s family potentially being surprised by the contents of the photos?

Presumably the family also know the biological sex of Jamie?

So this’ll be that other definition of “biological” at odds with traditional science, I would think.

That’s what I mean.

A biological female “dressed up” in men’s clothes, wouldn’t exactly come as a surprise to the family of an MP who has been wearing men’s clothes in public for years.

Good luck to him. I hope he is supportive of other rape victims and understands their need for penis free spaces.

I'd be pleased but amazed if he did. He was the director of 'sugar daddy' business supplying young women to older men. Women as a commodity. Fits neatly in with the trans view of women as a necessary observer, admirer and accessory.

We don’t have to call him “they”. Wallis just confirmed he isn’t changing his presentation or pronouns “for the time being”.
