New business on the block selling organic tampons via post and so on, called Yoppie. This is their instagram.

Text of instagram post:

'Most bleeders know how they are impacted by their period, but unfortunately aren't in touch with their feelings & symptoms in the other phases of their cycle. We are here to change that.'

I just can't stop laughing at this one. Grin

A) everyone bleeds you numpty

B) bleeder in the uk is an ‘insult’….a person regarded with contempt or pity

MayMorris · 15/03/2022 18:16

🤣
CervixSampler · 15/03/2022 18:17

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 15/03/2022 18:17

"I've spent enough time with my son in A&E after Rugby games and can categorically state he too bleeds.

I still wouldn't buy him tampons though."

Keep in mind they're handy for nose bleeds

quiteathome · 15/03/2022 18:22

Yup

During the other stages of my cycle I am dead inside.

I only come to life and feel things when I bleed.

Addressing Bleeders, brought to you by Yoppie.
How to Target Your Market of Shitters, brought to you by Andrex
Breaking Through the Stigma of Being a Jizzer, brought to you by Durex
I’m Talking to YOU, Pissers, brought to you by TenaLady
Hey, Wilters! brought to you by Viagra.

Nope.

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 15/03/2022 18:28

How fucking dare they refer to women and girls as sub-human 'bleeders'?!

Queenoftheashes · 15/03/2022 18:28

… No one's in the chair
Come on, come on!
Sweeney's waiting
I want you bleeders…

UKRAINEwearewithyou · 15/03/2022 18:28

Bleeder! WTF Enough of this bollocks.

I'm a woman. Men don't bleed only (some) biological women bleed.

FrancescaContini · 15/03/2022 18:29

It has to be satire, surely? Confused(clutching at straws)

Men do bleed. Just not every month from the uterus
VelvetChairGirl · 15/03/2022 18:30

@CharlieParley

I've spent enough time with my son in A&E after Rugby games and can categorically state he too bleeds.

I still wouldn't buy him tampons though.

(This might just be me but doesn't "bleeder" refer to either a hemophiliac and/or to a blood vessel experiencing traumatic bleeding?)

are you sure? one up the nostril is sure to stop a nose bleed
FemaleAndLearning · 15/03/2022 18:30

Fucking hell.

UKRAINEwearewithyou · 15/03/2022 18:32

@IdentifyingAsAPrincess

They don't advertise tampons like they did ten years ago.

Well only women blood not men in drag! They told it as it is.
Myee · 15/03/2022 18:32

Women, suffering the ways of men, but they don't bleed - only women do.

UKRAINEwearewithyou · 15/03/2022 18:32

bleed not blood!

VelvetChairGirl · 15/03/2022 18:32

@Fairislefandango

Except that one poster who is going along preaching at everyone that it’s more inclusive to pander to the tiny minority who prefer to be called bleeders than the huge majority who prefer to retain their fucking dignity!

Yes, there's always one. Sometimes a lot more than one. And look at her picture- perfectly womanly-looking woman. But no, she's non-binary, because that makes her more speshull I expect.

I reckon its the CEOs mum.
EsmaCannonball · 15/03/2022 18:33

Missed a trick not having Alf Garnett or Reg Varney fronting their ad campaign, chasing after a group of apple-scrumpers, shaking their fist, shouting, 'You little bleeders!' That is what this is about, isn't it?

VitalsStable · 15/03/2022 18:37

I'm not sure I even understand the quote, after bleeders my brain started stuttering and still hasn't recovered.

Next time they shout we've got a bleeder on a hospital programme I will be relaxed in the knowledge it's just as mundane as a human female menstruating.

Onionpatch · 15/03/2022 18:37

Not keen on bleeder! If i wanted to be super inclusive i would go with 'people who menstruate'.

VelvetChairGirl · 15/03/2022 18:39

Briannashoshanna · 15/03/2022 18:43

Do these idiots not learn that women really do not like being referred to in these terms? Or do they just sigh piously, dismiss all the comments as ‘hate’, and take any criticisms simply as evidence of all the Very Important work they have to do to combat transphobia and brainwash people into believing men have periods?

I cannot think of a single instance where a brand spouting this nonsense has gained them customers rather than alienating women. But still they do it.

TheWeeDonkey · 15/03/2022 18:44

I'm glad I no longer have periods because I actually find this language really offensive and upsetting. I grew up in a matriarchal family, so very feminist when I started working and used to have to deal with my male colleagues and superiors using this kind of language in the name of banter I found it really degrading and dehumanising, but speaking out against it was humourless, hysterical and over sensitive. My how things have changed
