I also gave proxy votes so hope they can be used. The agenda seemed designed to put newbies off, and sounds like the organisation is poor too. Hope it's not a stitch-up.

Really hope GPEW don't follow the SGP in purging women who believe in biology. Transwomen shouldn't be harrassed but sex matters

What's to debate about Ukraine? 'We stand with the people of Ukraine 🇺🇦' will be the result. Could hardly be otherwise.

You could give a proxy vote? The vote tomorrow will be the one about the 'purging motion' so if you could give someone your proxy it might be really helpful.

I'm afraid it looked a distinct possibility.

That UA in my last post was supposed to be the Ukrainian flag. No idea why it came out like that.

I don't know anyone to vote by proxy for me. I am so suspicious of the GP when I couldn't vote I was thinking they'd looked at my votes so far and decided to block me. Not so though.

I was losing the will to live this evening. Hope they crack on tomorrow.

Proxy votes are only used if the voting is close and a card vote is called. Better to use your vote live (if you can)

If people can't get in to vote on important votes we really should be complaining ASAP.

It was stated that if a person cannot attend this morning, to email a specific person and ask that my vote from last night be counted (stating what the vote was). I did that and just have got an automated reply.

I am not in the least bit confident my vote will be counted. I risked my health (also cognitive and visual impairments) to attend some workshops and the plenary last night and am just not able to do it again this morning.

Just had an email from Louisa (Conference manager) - I had asked for my vote from last night to be counted as I cant get through the process for voting again (due to cognitive and visual impairments):

'I have forwarded your email to SOC for a decision on whether or not they will accept votes submitted by email in this way.

If they don't then we can look at proxies (giving your vote to someone else to exercise for you), which we will be able to organise from our end.'
