Well done wimbots and non-men. Sterling work today. Flowers

Rightsraptor · 06/03/2022 09:34

Sunday now - are we back soon, noses to the grindstone? I have never been to a real life political conference and have been thinking how I, and others from some of the comments yesterday at the online conference, expect to be able to dip in and out, go and make cups of tea and not miss anything etc just because it's on screen and not in a big hall somewhere. In short, not have it interfere too much in my day to day life. A bit unfair of me, really.

DomesticatedZombie · 06/03/2022 09:36

Sort of, Rights. Although it weren't virtual many just wouldn't be able to attend at all. Lots of interesting chat about accessibility, online is a double edged sword.

I'm unlikely to be able to be around for most of today.

If you need updates, the Green Feminists have a what's app that is extremely helpful to guide you through votes. Email green feminists or dm me for link.

Here's a rough timetable, but this is subject to change so can't be sure when tgese will be discussed. Another motion or two that suggest expelling members for certain things like discussing sex based rights etc:

Key times at conference
Sunday 10.30 - 13.00 and 15.00 - 17.00
As conference is running late, we can't be sure of the timings, but these are the key motions affecting our rights.

D02 Consultation and right of reply for liberation groups
D07 Queerphobia
D08 Stonewall and Disaffiliation from Diversity Champions Scheme
D09 Special interests need special manifestos
D14 Regulating the distribution of campaign literature at Conference
E16: Ensuring Sex and Gender are Not Conflated

If I'm able to I will try to shout on here when votes are happening - maybe other feminists could also help out if possible?

Thanks Zombie, that's very helpful. Wish it didn't look such a lovely day out there, too nice to sit glued to a screen.

Signalbox · 06/03/2022 10:22

Can't get into the session. Is it full up?

DomesticatedZombie · 06/03/2022 10:29

not started yet Signal, I think

Just realised I'm too early. Silly me!

DomesticatedZombie · 06/03/2022 10:33

You're in time for Attunement, Signal. Grin

OP posts:
Signalbox · 06/03/2022 10:43

Is that what they call it?

Rightsraptor · 06/03/2022 13:02

Now I am totally confused. I have
D07
D08
D09
D14
listed as being important for me to vote on but they just said before the break that we'll be going on to E motions and emergency motions (or does E stand for 'emergency'?)

All at sea now.

WarriorN · 06/03/2022 13:26

Ive just seen EB is suing the GP.

There's a garden to dig in.

WarriorN · 06/03/2022 13:27

It's rocketing

Signalbox · 06/03/2022 13:36

Oh good. The more the merrier!

Yes I don’t understand this either. Presumably it’s a time management thing.
DomesticatedZombie · 06/03/2022 13:56

I am told that we are unikely to get D motions voted on for today. But hard to say.

I can't even pretend to understand how all this works tbh!
