She’s got a point, the pun in the title is very good. But otherwise Lavery is saying the quiet part out loud.

I think someone doesn't want us to google websites that might have info about certain individuals' pasts.

heathspeedwell · 07/02/2022 17:02

There's a big difference between checking different sites for factual links and corroborated evidence and 'hanging out on a far-right site.'

Journalists at the Guardian have often mentioned doing research on the site that you are getting all cross about Seven, perhaps you should complain to Owen Jones about it?

NecessaryScene · 07/02/2022 17:03

Hang on, aren't we far right? I thought we were far right. Please tell me we're far right. Having an identity crisis.

LilithOfEden · 07/02/2022 17:03

Oh just give it up. What sort of people are embedded in the TRA movement? Plenty of paedophiles, paedophile apologists, rapists, rape apologists, women haters, would be women killers if they acted out what they post. All on Reddit, Twitter, Youtube et al, merrily typing and trolling away. Are you staying away from there? Are you sure you want to post here? Aren't you a bit scared of being radicalised?

M0RVEN · 07/02/2022 17:09

They are not very good are they? It’s straw manning for beginners.

BettyFilous · 07/02/2022 17:18

@SevenWaystoLeave

Here on this thread we have multiple gender critical feminists on Mumsnet admitting they also hang out on a far right troll site which openly celebrates having driven at least three individuals to suicide. This peels back a mask on the kind of people who are embedded in the GC movement, and the kind of behaviour they find acceptable, and may even participate in.
Oh do give over. Go and hector the posters on that other site and stop policing Mumsnet.
DomesticatedZombie · 07/02/2022 17:23

Wait, is there a list of websites people are not supposed to visit? Or is it just female people who must not visit certain websites? Is visiting a website 'hanging out' there, and why is it wrong? Does one only visit websites one completely agrees with, because I have accidentally clicked on the Guardian a few times, how do I make reparation pls?

far out, Necessary. Keep up.
Doubletoilandtrouble · 07/02/2022 17:29

Far right sites? What? I have no idea where people hang out but that sounds unpleasant.

However, I am quite sad that the coverage of sex based violence (rape of women in prisons), transwomen smashing records of biological women and the rape (sodomy) of the poor girl in the toilet (by a male-born, wearing a skirt) was all hushed down by traditional left wing media. Unfortunately, those things only seem to be covered by traditional right wing media. Is that what is referred to?

I think we all need to read widely to figure out what’s going on.

MadameKali · 07/02/2022 17:32

I couldn't get the share token to work (boo, but thank you anyway @SpiderVersed) It didn't look like the article was there but when I searched for Sarah Ditum I found it but wasn't allowed to read it - anyone else having difficulty?

LilithOfEden · 07/02/2022 17:34

I mean, where's the logic? Do you think the women who post here just believe and agree with anything they read on other sites? You don't have much faith in women's intelligence, do you? Take it to the logical conclusion:

Here on this thread we have SevenWaysToLeave on Mumsnet admitting they also hang out on the Sex and Gender Discussion site which openly celebrates female push back against males seeking to erode women's rights. This peels back a mask on SevenWaysToLeave who must be a Terfy McTerf because she reads and posts on this board. That automatically means she believes and agrees with everything said on here, and wants to kill all transpeople.

BettyFilous · 07/02/2022 17:36

Thanks seven for reminding me about the antipodean fruit farmers. Quite the bracing read but it seems they enjoyed Sarah’s book review too. Honestly, they are 1000x less kind than FWR. You really shouldn’t be wasting your time here.

I've archived it - hope this works!

Doubletoilandtrouble · 07/02/2022 17:38

Sigh. Are we talking about another idiot who thinks that we cannot think for ourselves? This is getting tired.

I know many people live in little bubbles where they get all their information from social media feeds. Then they suddenly discover that there is a thing called algorithm and feel really clever that they have realised that their social media feed not is impartial. Good for them.

The women here read news papers (right and left), research studies and (of course) social media. We are not as ignorant as our frequent flyers.

Scraggythang · 07/02/2022 17:52

Do I agree with every single poster on that fruit farm? God no. Do I agree with everyone on mumsnet? Nah! But I do like facts and archived receipts. I’m also on Reddit, that’s a fking cesspit, but I still frequent plenty of subs. ESPECIALLY the ones I don’t agree with. It’s very interesting. Looks like you do the same @SevenWaystoLeave

Women are allowed on Reddit, now? Holy moly.
DomesticatedZombie · 07/02/2022 17:55

Clymene Flowers. I'm sorry, and to any other women affected by such a puerile attempt to garner shock and outrage/deliberately malicious attack on women.

Scraggythang · 07/02/2022 17:58

@DomesticatedZombie I mean… I can’t possibly recommend it… it’s very left wing coughmisogynisticcough not in line with our facist sensibilities.

DomesticatedZombie · 07/02/2022 17:59

Left wing?! Reddit? Wow. I have been misinformed.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 07/02/2022 18:03

@FebruaryRainandSleet

Do you read Mumsnet FWR because you agree with it, then, Seven?
Grin

Thank you. Smile I'm lucky that I went on to have beautiful children but it was a horrific and shocking experience.

I'm so angry that this repugnant individual is teaching young women.

MadameKali · 07/02/2022 18:11

Thank you @Clymene, worked a treat

On another note, why do some visitors here think we are some hive mind who all think the same and agree with all the views of some other boards that we might visit? I don't even agree with my husband on everything and I choose to spend my life with him not just several hours a couple of mins a day on an internet forum. I've never 100% agreed with anyone on anything. Weird

TheCurrywurstPrion · 07/02/2022 18:14

Seems Lavery is annoyed because Sarah Ditum used the word abortion.

Ironic that Lavery considers this to be insulting to the limp dick, and is at the same time revealing a man-deep ignorance of women’s bodies, including spontaneous abortion, which is another name for miscarriage.

@DomesticatedZombie it’s very hard to tell these days. It’s been a confusing few years.

Everything’s an illusion except the hatred of natal women.
