Women arguing for the rights of the female sex class have never been popular.

WandaWomblesaurus73 · 26/01/2022 17:04

Sarah Manavis the writer is very TRA from a quick look at their Twitter.

Apparently we are all amplified robots.

I never cared much about being popular. I place more value on truth and fairness.

highame · 26/01/2022 17:06

Nicely biased. Cis-gender always gives it away

Deliriumoftheendless · 26/01/2022 17:07

@WandaWomblesaurus73

Apparently we are all amplified robots.
Yet again I regret not knowing my password for a name change ( or being in a cool band).

Meh. No fucks given.

FrancescaContini · 26/01/2022 17:11

I used to subscribe to the NS but cancelled my subscription when I read a column by one of their regular (very young, female) columnists a year or so ago in which she made very clear that TWAW and to think otherwise was very hateful.

Babdoc · 26/01/2022 17:14

Interesting that Sarah apparently prefers popularity to truth. Personally, I’m the opposite. As I suspect are most GC feminists.

TheABC · 26/01/2022 17:15

Uppity females with opinions are never popular.
We've forgotten our place, dont'cha know?

In other news: zero fucks given.

Always good to see professional journalism in action.

The original report from Logically (allegedly one of the world's biggest fact checkers) for anyone with the skills or inclination to read it. Don't these companies usually get commissioned to do this sort of work? Who paid for it?

www.logically.ai/articles/keepprisonssinglesex-pushed-by-botnet

to move incarcerated trans women into “separate, specialised units”, in order to prevent cis female prisoners from being subjected to “violence” and “rape”.

When you put violence and rape in inverted commas when it's actually already happened I know you are an arsehole who doesn't give a fuck about women's safety.

RunningInTheWind · 26/01/2022 17:22

Wait until they hear what I think about porn!

Goatsaregreat · 26/01/2022 17:24

I believe the statistical basis for this (twatter Grin ) has been exposed as being the usual statistically inadequate/ biased data that is so commonly presented to the world by those promoting male supremacist ideology.

UltraVividLament · 26/01/2022 17:24

I can't get interested in anyone who is arguing for male bodied people to be placed in women's prisons. I don't care in the slightest if it's an opinion that isn't popular on Twitter. Twitter is not representative of the population as a whole and is a platform used by many people and organisations to push their specific view point.

The idea that it's somehow unfair to focus on the negative experiences of women that are imprisoned with male bodied transgender people is just ridiculous. The negative experiences are the bloody point.

Deliriumoftheendless · 26/01/2022 17:26

And it’s nothing new, to hear people don’t give a shit about what happens to women.

Rape convictions are low, I don’t see many people outside of feminism taking to the streets to protest that.

Maybe she should rewrite her article as “no one gives a shit about women’s rights and why I’m cool with that.”

QuestionsorComments · 26/01/2022 17:29

I work with professional women, well educated feminists in fact, but almost all are also very keen to be inclusive and don't seem to "get" that suporting trans rights is anti women's rights.

This is a view I almost only ever hear on MN

DialSquare · 26/01/2022 17:31

Oh well. At least the EHRC likes us!

Oh dear…Confused

I think it was one of her articles that made me cancel my subscription.

missproportionate · 26/01/2022 17:32

As Groucho Marx said: 'I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member. ...'

RepentMotherfucker · 26/01/2022 17:42

Never heard of this person but her last ten or so tweets give the impression of an MRA or at the very least a 'cool girl' (in its MN incarnation which means basically, 'sucks up to the boys for attention, throws other women under the bus to do so')

And for her information I have always been a very popular girl!

PurplePikachu · 26/01/2022 17:44

I am very popular with women actually. Less so with men who pretend to be women, I’ll admit.
