This seems to be the way their narrative is starting to bend. I saw someone on Twitter today trying to argue that only a "minority" of people have GC views, but those that do have no idea of the harm those views are doing to women and girls.

Still scratching my head over that one.

The recognised route to 'being popular' is through being a complacent female who accepts the inequality of patriarchal practices. So, by definition, Radfems are indeed not popular and glad not to be so. I think the author has missed the point somewhat.

Honestly, dangerous to house trans women in units designed specially for them on the male estate?! Where is the danger? Actual danger, I mean, like the actual violence & rapes resultant from transferring male persons - however they may identify - into the female estate. Not “violent male sex offenders who identify as women are not getting access to women and they are Dreadfully Upset about this”. Being upset =/= being persecuted, threatened, oppressed, or endangered.

Incidentally, does anyone know if trans women actually ARE at more risk in prison (in the male estate, for avoidance of all doubt) than gay men are? Nobody says that gay men are too vulnerable for imprisonment; nor are they offered protected spaces as a matter of policy; but they are vulnerable (& will be viewed by peers as transgressing all kinds of boundaries) in a prison environment, so…

I know my views aren't popular. I'm constantly trying to work out where I stand. I come back to needing basic concepts to understand the world and each other. I'm glad that most transwomen cause no issues in women's prisons, since policy requires some to be placed there. It doesn't make males into females. It doesn't make sex nonexistent or irrelevant.
