The Call Is Coming From Inside The House - short film

The title comes from A Stranger Calls and what follows is something that should be watched by every secondary school teacher, therapist, Dr and politician.

It's a short film - 40 mins - a compilation really of TikTok videos and other clips which show how gripped these young people are and what can happen to them.

One quote I will probably miss quote

"Mentally ill people need to know what is real."

I'm sharing because it's really powerful in a truly terrifying way.

It's really shocking. It's a mental health pandemic.
Makes me think the internet needs to be not available at all to under 18's because of the risk of social contagion and grooming (not just in this area but others too). These young people need to be off the internet and reading actual books or doing sport or something outside or having some other more wholesome enthusiasm or passion.

Whatwouldscullydo · 18/01/2022 10:32

They all come across as immature and very vulnerable

There used to be a thing we'd say to kids. Specifically teenagers, usually around sex.

That usually was along the lines of " if you cant talk about it then you shouldn't be doing it"

It should apply here. If you need cutesie catch phrases and euphemisms like " yeet the teets" amd " top surgery" or " confirmation surgery", if you cant call it what it is, a double mastectomy, then how can anyone say they understand well enough.

The surprise at finding moving difficult because the scar tissue is tight and you can't raise your arms properly , or wondering what the heck happened to your nipples , either means these things were not explained to you. Or, you didn't actually understand what was being said.

Either way, ethically it has to be questionable. Wheres ther informed consent.

ArabellaScott · 18/01/2022 10:34

People need to be told, clearly and unequivocally that it is not possible to change sex. That the surgeries offered are difficult, risky and will not give you the body of the opposite sex - it's just not possible to create a penis nor create a vagina out of bits of skin.

If an adult still chooses to go ahead with this expensive, complex and major surgery then that is their choice.

That anybody would assist young people to have these kind of extreme surgeries ... well. I'm looking at you, ScotGov.

ArabellaScott · 18/01/2022 10:35

In fact I wonder if this film might be a good one to send to MPs and MSPs.

Bonhex · 18/01/2022 10:40

@QueenPeony

Yes. Absolutely.
I saw teenage girls arsing about in a bedroom. Nothing "masculine" about any of it.
I wonder if "top surgery" amongst some teenage girls is a separate phenomenon that's being conflated. Biggest of self harm scars.

Helleofabore · 18/01/2022 10:47

It was like they were comparing a new make up technique. But they both had had double mastectomies .... extreme make up I guess.

Jux proposed it too.

I would definitely send it

OhHolyJesus · 18/01/2022 10:52

I've now listened to the call between You Tube Detransitioner Cluniac and therapist Victoria T. Lieber-Spiess. The long pauses indicate her lack of understanding and explanation if you ask me.

I'm going to watch more of his videos but I wanted to say how brave this young, damaged man is, how he is more likely in my view, to help other confused children more than these 'gender therapists' and that if there was ever an argument for leaving the kids alone, than this is it. It's the Detransitioners.

He was in his 20s I believe, not a teenager, and he has lost two years of his life and probably his fertility. He can't even sue these 4 'gender therapists'.

At the end he screams "you think I'm hurt". He says his life is ruined and it is the 'gender therapists' who ruined his life, he says they are evil (though not intentionally).I don't think 'feeling sorry for' this young man even begins to cover it for me.

How fucking dare they.

@OhHolyJesus - I found listening to that call harrowing. As you say, the long pauses and the 'I am aorry you feel hurt' when he is clearly and understandably so distressed made me want to scream too.

"You let me dance around my delusion for two years" says it all.

GoodieMoomin · 18/01/2022 10:59

@FOJN @DialSquare if that's the person I'm thinking of there's another video on Exulansic's channel that shows thw same person talking about phantom nipples. The person was in a great deal of distress, saying it feels like the now absent nipples are perpetually being pinched.

These doctors and therapists should be in prison.

This film made me feel very tearful for all these young people and their damaged bodies.

ArabellaScott · 18/01/2022 11:10

Call from the video mentioned above.

Yes that. I found hearing him so upsetting. The longing for someone to just be honest with him.
Two daughters of friends are in this process, one has had her breasts removed, at17, the other has changed her name and is shifting towards wanting to be a boy. She is 13.

Whatwouldscullydo · 18/01/2022 11:47

I have just listened to the full length call. It's unbelievable. " you can't tell me what's real because you have been trained not to."

Says it all really.

If they know what's real then they are deliberately harming their patients taking their money and facilitating the constant referring within the inner circle with the aim.of all hoping eachother profit.

Or

They are delusional themselves and need therapy until they too can face reality.

TheWeeDonkey · 18/01/2022 11:50

@DialSquare

Did anyone believe the young female who was crying with happiness after "top surgery"?

I didn't. It looked more like a "WTF have I done" type of cry to me. A palpable loss.

I thought a lot of the young people had an empty look in their eye that made me feel so sad for them. They've realised this is it now. This is their life. It's heartbreaking.

The people who prey on these confused young people are ghouls.

FannyCann · 18/01/2022 12:12

Is this in the UK Vix?

I had thought there was a minimum age of 18 but there was an article about Scotland referring young people to England and I think that was so they could get it done younger iirc. Can't find the article now to check my facts.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 18/01/2022 12:15

Only 5 minutes in but they all look like goths and emos to me.

DialSquare · 18/01/2022 12:20

Agreed TheWeeDonkey. It's not the miracle cure they were expecting. So sad.

GoodieMoomin It does look like the same person. I can't imagine what that feeling must be like.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 18/01/2022 12:28

I'm not keen on it TBH. I agree with the sentiment but I also think that the slick editing, voice-overs and neat categorisations are designed to play with emotions and manipulate. I's prefer to see something more factual and less emotive.

StellaAndCrow · 18/01/2022 12:35

@Helleofabore

Because defecating into a bag or being unable to move your arm properly should be the last thing they ever want to risk on anyone

Let’s not forget which sex suffer those complications though!

I take every opportunity to remind the occasional male who posts about puberty blockers that for some reason it is females who suffer the worst negative effects and those long term, life shortening effects. And males keep pushing a medical agenda that has less negative effect and better outcomes.

It is still sexist discrimination. Even in this health category. It is females who are suffering the higher risk in the push for supposed improved trans health.

But this seems to be ignored.

Same old. Same old.

Yes, and females have little to gain from puberty blockers - puberty blockers will cause them to be shorter than they otherwise would have been, whereas surely if they want to present as men they'd want to be as tall as possible?
StellaAndCrow · 18/01/2022 12:36

And as one of the young people says, they've really reduced their dating pool.

15 year olds, iirc. Will try to find it.
ArabellaScott · 18/01/2022 12:49

'Fifty-one teenagers aged 16 and 17 who were born as females were sent to hospitals in England to undergo further assessment for “specialist chest reconstruction” over the past six years, The Telegraph reported. In theory, those as young as 17 can undergo the procedure, and children aged 16 have been “referred for assessment for surgery”.'

Whatthechicken · 18/01/2022 13:09

That was chilling.

@FOJN I agree with you, I’ve seen that look before on a child in a documentary whose parents claimed they were trans (can’t remember what it’s called now), but the child looked to be reacting how the adults expected them to react, not genuinely.

Agree it’s one to send to MPs, the conversion therapy bill consultations ends early Feb doesn’t it?

FannyCann · 18/01/2022 13:15

Thanks @ArabellaScott

It's amazing after the Keira Bell case, all the focus and press reports etc focused on puberty blockers, which is what the case was about obviously, but meanwhile minors are getting mastectomies and no one even knows about it. How are they able to consent to this?
