LGBT+ Police Network Wales survey: total gender ideology

I've been forwarded this survey intended for LGBT+ people in Wales

www.smartsurvey.co.uk/thankyou

I've filled it in making it perfectly clear that I'm a gender atheist, I don't have a gender, I don't support gender ideology and that I don't regard LGB as having anything to do with TQ+. It seems clear to me that they are taking a highly politicised position.

If anyone else wants to fill it in all you need to give is the first four letters of a Welsh postcode.

I've sent a copy to Fair Cop. Is there any other organisation that might want to take this up?

The link doesn't work, and to be fair if it's specifically a survey intended for LGBTQ people you shouldn't really fill it in unless you're LGBTQ right?
I don't think Fair Cop is gay is he?

Pluvia · 14/01/2022 15:09

Here's the link:

I'm a lesbian. Of course, given gender ideology and self-ID, anyone (penis and all) can identify as a lesbian if they want to. Fair Cop is an organisation set up to identify and challenge ideology in the police force. I have no idea of Harry's sexuality. Any more questions designed to undermine me?

Frankly if there's anyone left on the planet that isn't covered by the Q+ bit I'll be surprised.

Being just a boring old L who evilly and reprehensibly wants to be left alone to be homosexual in peace without rape and death threats and people who seem to have quite serious problems with boundaries and basic healthy relationship concepts, and are therefore telling me I should learn to cope with males having access to my body because I should care more about male people's needs than my selfish wish to actually enjoy sex? I agree with you OP.

LGBT+ is increasingly being represented as a political position, not a diverse group of people linked together by homosexuality. And therefore it excludes and no longer represents LGBT+ who do not comply to those politics, while pretending they speak for LGBT+ as a whole and therefore controlling policy in a way that enables their political (and homophobic) agenda. ie Welsh Police. It's a very major problem.

I have Welsh family, I also have a leek in the fridge and... daffodils in bud in the garden. I identify as Welsh and will complete the survey.

OhLordyWhatNow · 14/01/2022 20:34

If it helps a central Newport postcode is NP20

Catnuzzle · 14/01/2022 20:35

My father in law is half Welsh, I'm sure that qualifies me Grin

DontLikeCrumpets · 14/01/2022 23:22

@Linguini "you shouldn't really fill it in unless you're LGBTQ right?"

Who made you a gatekeeper? Who are you to question anyone's claim to be TQ+?

Spero · 14/01/2022 23:49

I really have no words any more. Be aware, we are all now under surveillance by various police 'teams'

Talking of surveillance - Minnymum is on to us wimbats! And she knows that MN is 'notorious for being an anti-trans radicalisation and lobbying platform'.
Our cover is blown it seems.

Welsh for she/her is hi/hi, adorable (depends on the dialect, I think) and is the survey bilingual?

OhLordyWhatNow · 15/01/2022 00:27

@IcakethereforeIam

Welsh for she/her is hi/hi, adorable (depends on the dialect, I think) and is the survey bilingual?

No the survey is not bilingual, there is no Welsh language option as far as I could see.

Neither is it restricted to being completed by LGBTQ+ community. The survey asks about orientation and has multiple choice including heterosexual.

OhLordyWhatNow · 15/01/2022 00:37

This is the original tweet. As you can see it says the survey is open to anyone.

The idea that Mumsnet in general /this thread in particular might be 'monitored' by the police on the basis of a (possibly libellous?) tip-off from a non-trans person who unsuccessfully took a transwoman to court for transphobia is a little bizarre.

OhLordyWhatNow · 15/01/2022 01:29

Errol the original police tweet inviting people to complete the survey says it's open to anyone, it doesn't even specify you have to be resident in Wales, just that you need to know a Welsh postcode to participate.

Not sure what 'crime' Mumsnetters have committed for the person who reported it to get her knickers in a twist over. There's no hate speech here, just a heads up to say a survey is available.

It's an utterly appallingly constructed questionnaire with no way of gathering quantitative data. It will be a ball ache to get anything useful from it. It seems like the work experience person has been given the task on a quiet Friday afternoon.

Whatshernamevirginiaplain · 15/01/2022 03:56

I'm a self identifying lesbian and a massive fan of Shakin Stevens and the Manic Street Preachers. I have family from Liverpool, which is near Wales. Thanks OP!🦕🦖

InspiralCoalescenceRingdown · 15/01/2022 08:24

I actually do live in Wales and wasn't aware of this survey. Cheers OP, I'll fill it out.

Spero · 15/01/2022 08:34

Fair Cop are going to write and ask for details about the 'teams' the police now have monitoring this thread.

So here's a message for you. Dear police. Your actions are unlawful and if you won't take my word for it, we will see you in court. Again. Maybe you should be a little more careful about the quality of anonymous social media accounts who urge you into acting like a Poundland Stasi.

NotBadConsidering · 15/01/2022 08:37

Mimmymum is so lame 😆😆

Is MNHQ aware of this? Monitoring? How much sway does this person (who, remember, dragged a trans woman into court and had the case thrown out) seem to think she has?
