LGBT+ Police Network Wales survey: total gender ideology

Pluvia · 14/01/2022 14:46

I've been forwarded this survey intended for LGBT+ people in Wales

www.smartsurvey.co.uk/thankyou

I've filled it in making it perfectly clear that I'm a gender atheist, I don't have a gender, I don't support gender ideology and that I don't regard LGB as having anything to do with TQ+. It seems clear to me that they are taking a highly politicised position.

If anyone else wants to fill it in all you need to give is the first four letters of a Welsh postcode.

I've sent a copy to Fair Cop. Is there any other organisation that might want to take this up?

I will be very interested to see their response.

KittenKong · 15/01/2022 08:53

‘Lalalalala can’t hear you’

VaddaABeetch · 15/01/2022 08:53

Well I’m Irish which means I’m a Q Celt so that makes me more Q+ than welsh people who are P Celts.

KittenKong · 15/01/2022 09:04

I’m Scottish so…

MrBIobby · 15/01/2022 09:04

The police are monitoring this thread? On mimmymums say so? Aren't Welsh lgbqt mumsnetters allowed to participate in this survey because mimmymum says You might want to know that your survey is currently being shared on Mumsnet - which is notorious for being an anti-trans radicalisation and lobbying platform - so you’ll likely receive spam / trolling responses

And on mimmymums offensive and hateful words, youve put a team on to monitor the posters here SWP lgbt+ network? Because mimmymum thinks women here are anti trans, as she doesn't understand being pro women doesn't mean anti trans? Are you excluding the wrong type of LGBT person? You never learn from your mistakes do you...

KittenKong · 15/01/2022 09:08

Someone seems to have friends in low places… and a bit of an obsession.

FrancescaContini · 15/01/2022 09:11

Thank you for the link - I really enjoyed completing the survey. I used my cousin’s postcode in Wales. I love a bit of Welsh identity at this time of year with the daffodils appearing in the shops. And my uncle is called David, which I believe is a Welsh name?

FrancescaContini · 15/01/2022 09:12

Or at least, a name commonly used in Wales.

KittenKong · 15/01/2022 09:13

I used to call daffs ‘daffy-ducktails’ when I was little. Is this a hate crime?

Rightsraptor · 15/01/2022 09:13

Bloody women, having opinions AGAIN. Are we never going to learn our role in life? Tut tut.

If the police were monitoring this thread last night, I can only think it was a quiet Friday night in Wales and they were being entertainment by the Mumsnet humour evident here.

I hadn't planned to do this survey but as my ex is Welsh & my children are half Welsh I feel thoroughly justified in cracking on with it now. Thanks for prompting me, Mimmymum.

Rightsraptor · 15/01/2022 09:14

And somebody said her daffs were in bud? Mine aren't! Not fair 😕

FrancescaContini · 15/01/2022 09:19

Do complete the survey - I enjoyed it. Unfortunately I was unable to ask for explanation of their question “Does your gender match the sex you were given at birth?” I have yet to find a satisfactory answer to what this means.

Waitwhat23 · 15/01/2022 09:24

Wow. Various Police forces seem to be happy to be used as personal enforcement arms for people who don't believe in women's rights, free speech or plurality of opinion. Haven't they learned from the various humiliating climb-downs by the Scottish Police?

It is as simple as the fact that people are allowed to hold different opinions as much as Mimmymum dislikes that.

OldCrone · 15/01/2022 09:35

The police are monitoring this thread? On mimmymums say so?

I just posted this on the other thread.

For anyone who missed it at the time, mimmymum is Helen Islan, a former employee of Mermaids, who took Miranda Yardley (a transsexual) to court over alleged transphobic harassment (and lost). Islan is not trans.

The police have responded to say their reply - promising to monitor mumsnet - was taken 'out of context'. A reminder - this was the context

Maybe they mean as is ‘yeah, right, go away you serial complainer - your request is straight in the bin’

CuriousaboutSamphire · 15/01/2022 09:43

I shall have a look right now.

If only to piss off Helen and her endless stupidity.

HaroldMeeker · 15/01/2022 09:48

Police are monitoring this board??

Yoohoo! Hello boys!

Artichokeleaves · 15/01/2022 09:51

Well how interesting.

A complaint that their survey may be filled in by those with different political and ideological beliefs to the tweeter's and that this is a cause for police monitoring?

And the police say yes, we're on it. Can't be having tolerance for diversity or plurality or wider representation of LGBT+ women's views!

Which kind of proves the whole point of why we're here, why we're concerned and what the whole problem is! Fgs, police are supposed to have integrity, impartiality and basic common sense. Get a grip for pete's sake.

(Is suggesting that hate speech yet?)

MichelleScarn · 15/01/2022 09:53

Ended up down a twitter cess pool rabbit hole, but very disappointed to see Rebel Wilson firmly nail her colours to the 'pick me.... I'm an 'ally' dance' her choice but she has sunk in my estimation for this pointless attack.

A friend of mine here in Wales has reminded me about the Welsh language requirement. It's law here in Wales that major organisations have to put all their public information out in Welsh as well as English. We presume that applies to the police — so they've broken the law on that.

OP posts:
KittenKong · 15/01/2022 09:58

And their threat to monitor this website is still up. Interesting.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 15/01/2022 09:59

Ooh! Yep! That's right. Welsh language version should actually have been offered first, with the English language the choice, not the default.

Naughty naughty

I think you need to report it to the police.
